What's on your Menu Today (Monday) RNYers?

Good morning Menu Crew! How are you all? Thanks for all the AMAZING "Photo's of Love" from Friday, wow it was so wonderful! If you didn't see go back and check them out, lots of awesomeness there!! How was your weekend? Mine was great, busy but great! We have lots of snow! Between Friday and Sunday we got a dumping of snow and because my husband has a really left bad shoulder that his Physio told him technically to "not use that arm" (although he still did) I shoveled A LOT of snow and now my right arm/bicep/side of my neck is so sore today, and right know I am not really happy about not being able to take Advil/NSAIDS, UGH!!
QOTD: Do you find you are really dry now post surgery? Maybe its just me and my Canadian Winters? My hands (and body) are so dry and I have a ton of hangnails which drives me mental! I know that I don't eat a lot of fat post surgery as in fat on steak or pork chops (I personally find it gross) but I do use lots of butter and full fat yogurt, milk, cheese, sour cream, those kinds of things but I suspect its just not enough. Do the Vets have a suggestion on either a good body moisturizer or should I add in an extra supplement of something? I do drink a lot of water but can't seem to combat the dryness and this is all year round dryness, not just now because we are going through Winter although it is worse.

Liquid diet sucks but it's a great way to drop a few pounds, get your head in the game, and shrink your liver (thus increasing your doctors' probability of giving you an excellent RNY since he/she doesn't have to worry about nicking your innards!). So keep with it!
My pre-op diet looked like yours and boy was I low energy on day 2/3 but then it got better. Stick with it! I also got very sick of sweet things so I incorporated chicken broth and skim ricotta cheese, nuked with Italian seasoning.
Good luck! You can do this!

Hi everyone! I love your snowy puppy pictures, Daisy! You all look so happy!
Whew, I am writing this from bed because I have ANOTHER DAY OFF! I mean, I am working from home, but all 6 schools are closed for a 3rd day in a row. And since my job is somewhat "reactionary" I am running out of things to do! Having 4 days in a row, all snowed in at home has been fun! I have cooked a zillion healthy things and I'm all ready with food for the week. The storms are ending now, and the state is digging out. I'll be back to work tomorrow :(
QOTD: I actually feel the opposite! I think you might have hit the answer with fat? I used to avoid eating full fat in meats and dairy but now I always go for full fat options (go figure!). But for whatever reason, I don't feel as dry and itchy as I used to. Yay!
I ate almost nothing that was on my menu yesterday. Bad, bad, bad... Gotta focus and try to get through a structured days worth of food. This is the down side of being home for 5 days in a row...
B: 1/2 Fit Frappe Mocha & 1 Faux Starbucks Egg Bite
S: homemade "Greek" yogurt--tried a bite this morning and it didn't really set like Greek...but it's tasty! I'll have it with granola and blueberries.
L: Chicken wrapped Prosciutto
S: Carrot sticks and Cheese Slices
D: Leftover Ribeye
