What's on your Sunday, menu, RNYers?
on 2/12/17 2:39 am
Good EARLY morning everyone! For some reason I have been up since before 3:30am today. Don't worry, I put the time to great use and I finished reading the Internet! The whole thing! Lol. Actually, I mostly played around on Pinterest, which is my favorite insomnia hobby. I love to pin fun recipes and crafts, so feel free to follow me if you want! My username is PeaceNcoffee :)
Yesterday was so fun! Mom and I had an awesome shopping adventure that resulted in me buying an amazing fancy silver dress and some other great tops and pants. Then Mom and I came back and had what we call a "trying on party"--where we pair up all of the new clothes with existing clothes in the closet to make new outfits. It's a long time tradition going back to when I was a kid. We love it!
I can't believe that more snow is starting in about 2 hours. Where we live in MA is getting spared the worst, but we are still going to get up to 8" of heavy wet snow. My schools are all in the 10" - 16" range, though, so it will surely be another snow day tomorrow. I have not been in to work since last Wednesday! For real! Actually, it's been great to get though some big projects that have been on my to-do list but always get interrupted by those pesky kids and teachers! Haha.
QOTD: I'm fascinated by the little tidbits people keep sharing about the weather where you all live. People have mentioned everything from temps in the 80s to huge piles of snow! So where do you live, and how's the weather been for you this winter?
B: Fit Frappe Mocha mixed with Cinnamon Churro coffee (my NUT wants me to give these up, but I'm not ready!) & 1/2 faux Starbucks egg bite & bacon
S: Carrot sticks & Chomps meat stick & Babybel cheese
L: Leftover ribeye and riced cauliflower
S: Homemade Greek Yogurt!
D: Grilled cheese
** reading this, it looks like a TON of food, so I'm sure something will get cut out?

Have a great day, everyone!
Morning! Glad you enjoyed shopping! I've been watching what not to wear episodes every morning and I think it's turned me into a pseudo fashionista- which makes me want to shop. My budget says stay home though.
I never got into Pinterest- to me it's like a virtual hope chest. Another thing that can leave women feeling inadequate for not being creative, trendy etc on their own. I've been up since 4:45- my usual time I wake by. I'm laying around waiting for 7ish to go and run. It's supposed to be rainy here- if it's too heavy I'll go to the gym. No plans today; just like yesterday-- yes!
Qotd: yesterdays temps were mild in the low 50's. Today will be high 40's but rainy. we still have a little snow on the ground from the other day- but it's mostly melted.

I need to find What Not To Wear on the TV again. I used to watch it to see what clothes would hide my bulk. Now I could use it to figure out how to dress when not big!

Good morning!! I feel ya JB today I slept til 5:30 that is late for me on weekend lately... But I have started laundry, and so I guess it is all good. Dinner last night was great my Grandmother was so surprised and then my daughter FaceTimed her from the Ball and when they brought out the cake her friends most of who are musical theater majors sang her happy birthday, she cried I think we all got a little choked up.
QOTD: I live in Vermont and the weather this year has been just plain odd. The farmers almanac said we were supposed to be in for a bad winter this year but other than earlier this week it really has not been overly cold and we have yet to have a big noreaster, I guess I should not say that to loud. Today we are supposed to get a good amount of snow, which will make the morning commute fun but I like driving in the messy stuff.
Today's menu:
B: hard boiled egg white and 1 slice of bacon w/ coffee. This morning I was not paying attention when I grabbed the K-cup because I realized after I pulled it out of the machine it was a half caf. Oh well
L: Left over steak from dinner last night.
D: My husband said he wanted grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches so I think I might end up repeating my breakfast plan again.
Hope you all have a nice Sunday....

Good morning! I'm up at 4:30 am on the days I go into the office and 5:30 am when I am at home (including weekends). Which of course means I conk out between 8:30 and 9:30 pm.
JB, it sounds like you and your Mom have a great relationship. Lucky you!
QOTD: At this moment in Florida it has been in the low 80s and sunny every day this past week (and should be most days thus coming week). I fly home to Massachusetts on Saturday. Hopefully the storminess will be out of its system by then!
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese, English muffins and peanut butter (btw, I got Walmart brand cottage cheese for the first time and will not buy it again - when cooked with my eggbeaters it exudes a bunch of water and the cheese is all chewy - yuck. I buy Shaw's brand at home and it dies not do that)
L: tuna salad, pickles, and cottage cheese
D: ? I think we are going out with our friend here
S: Almonds, cheese, hummus

JB I get up at about that time every day, I have for 30 or so years now, I used to hate it but I have learned to love the peace and quiet of the early morning.
I live in Maine, winter was good until the last couple of weeks and it has snowed almost every day! We are expecting 20 to 26 today thru tomorrow, so everything will be shut down again, the poor kids will be going to school through July if this keeps up!

Pinterest girl here! I'm a planner, so I love It for that. And I'm a very visual person. Home Reno projects, painting tips, baby showers ideas etc. And I use it to bookmark my go to recipes. Im boring to follow because most of my boards are secret, but I'll find you JB!
Were heading to my grandmother in laws 94th birthday this afternoon. Depending on the weather, we might head to Winterlude and check out the ice sculptures.
Qotd: I live in Ottawa Ontario. I think we are having a typical Ottawa winter, and I really have no complaints. But we had a long stretch of gloomy skies, like weeks with no blue sky.. I'll take freezing cold temps with bright skies any day over that! So I guess I can actually complain.... Today there is a storm warning that we might get 10 inches between this afternoon and tomorrow morning.
Definitely nothing compared to MA!
Menu:
B: premiere protein with powdered peanut butter
L/D tbd depending on our day. The birthday celebrations are from 2-4. Not sure if that means some will go out for dinner after, or if there will be enough nibbles there, we won't really need an evening meal?
have a great Sunday everyone!

Good Morning! One of my dogs has had me on and off up since 3 am. Not sure what is bothering her but my guess is just spoiled . I try my hardest to not complain over the weather because I know we will never move to where it is warmer so it is what it is. I use to try my hardest to talk husband into moving but not going to happen-not even when retirement finally gets here. But today is raining like crazy!! I don't mind it so much but once the temp's start to dip, the ice will be an issue and a worry for me.
Yesterday's menu looked like this: B: coffee L: lean bunless burger on George Foreman grill D: T-Bone steak on the grill
Good Morning JB and Menu Family!
I've been up since 5:30 am when my dog, Blossom, a large golden retriever mix, decided she wanted to sit on my lap. She is HUGE but very sweet and loving and I let her squish me for about a half an hour before I pushed her off of me.
I love that you and your mom have such a great relationship, JB! My mom and I were very close and I miss her so much!
I haven't gotten into Pinterest yet. Maybe I should check it out.
I live in Nebraska, pretty much smack dab in the middle of the USA. Our weather can be very changeable. We once had a huge blizzard that cancelled Halloween and another huge blizzard late in April. This year we haven't had a huge blizzard yet ... (knock on wood!) It has been pretty cold but this week looks to be in the 40's and 50's which is really nice for Nebraska in February. Nebraska is almost always windy. I have a magnet that says, "One day the wind stopped blowing in Nebraska ... and everyone fell over!"
B: bacon & spinach egg frittata
L: stuffed peppers
D: homemade chili
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: Prosciutto & mozzarella cheese roll-ups
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!
