I have a hard time falling asleep too so I listen to relaxation music in . I put my ear buds in and it works great! I learned to do this in my cardiac rehab class. Another thing you can try is while laying in bed on your back tensing up each muscle group for 10 sec. and you'll be very surprised at how relaxed you'll feel. I actually learned that from my 7th grade English teacher.

Happy Saturday everyone!

It's day two of the candied bacon experiment and the entire house smells of bacon. It's expected to take several days in the dehydrator so the bacon smell is here for awhile. It's not the same smell as bacon in a frying pan but it's still plenty bacon- y in here! The teeny tiny bit of snow we got last night is already melting and should be completely gone in an hour or two. Plans for the day.....unknown. 

In the past drinking has been an occasional social thing for me but I currently have absolutely zero interest in trying it. I'm sure that will change at some point further down the road but I never liked the feeling I got after just one drink too many so I wonder if the quick buzz will be unappealing. Something to consider I guess but again, not for quite some time. Plus I don't mind being the driver and being the sober one during all the holiday festivities made me glad I wasn't one of the sloppy ones, so alcohol is meh to me now and maybe it will stay that way...??

QOTD I wish I had decided what I wanted to be when I grew up and pursued it when I was younger. This job search is mentally exhausting.

Good morning all

I ended up going to my dad's yesterday for an early dinner.  It is really good to have him home.  I will still be going back over their today to see him and my brother and his kids.  I will be leaving my house shortly.  Menu changed yesterday ended up eating a big T-bone steak and very small lettuce salad and did not eat anything on my Lunch or Dinner menu.

QOTD: I have always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon.  It is on my bucket list, so hopefully I will get the opportunity some time.

I made it to Twoderville today, and hit the 70 pound mark.  Sorry for the sideways picture I couldn't get it to spin.

Supper - 4 oz tilapia, 2 cups oven roasted cauliflower

congratulations! We must have very close starting weights. I am getting close to my first 100 gone and I'm very excited, but it is going slow...

I am so jealous of the amount of snow you all are getting. These last years snow has been nothing short of a Joke that has resulted in us get 10 inches  and fewer. sigh! Oh well. 

 

QOTD: I wish I would've mastered sign language and spanish. I have been saying lately that I wish I could be more versatile when it comes to speaking to others. I feel like my career opportunities would widen (working on getting my degree in social work) and my overall people skills would improve. I always feel so bad when I have to struggle to understand someone simply because they don't talk like me. 

Anyways, I am still preop! day 4 of my 21 day liquid diet so my menu of the day will NOT be that exciting and that's okay! 

B: Caramel Premir Protein drink

S: sugar free jello

L: Beef broth 

followed by a vanilla premir protein shake (30 mins later)

S:Sugar free popsicle 

D: Chicken and herb broth 

followed by a banana and cream premir protein shake (30 mins later)

S: vanilla protein shake (if needed) 

 

so exciting right? 

{Almost} 4 days down! (I am at the beginning of day four so that counts right?!) and 17 days until surgery! so so so so anxious!

I am also in MA, so YAY! More snow..

I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. My fingers just don't want to cooperate lol

No meals "Planned" for today as my partner woke up SICK :( (She is the cook cause I work from home all day) 

Breakfast is always the same for me...Protein coffee.

Lunch I ate the last of the egg frattata I made last week...It is SO freaking good, might make another today. (Also a 1/2 Cup Cottage Cheese and 1/3 C Dried Edammae) 

Snack will be a greek yogurt and string cheese

Dinner is probably leftover something or other lol

I signed up for the beachbody total access on demand yesterday, (My V-day givt from the Wifey) So I plan on checking that out today, they have a country line dancing Cardio work out I am SUPER excited to try!
