What's on Your Saturday Menu, RNYers?

Heeeeyyyyy Menu Pals!
Oh my goodness, I can't believe we go MORE snow overnight! Just a couple of inches, but still...we must be up over 18" already, and another 6"-12" is predicted from Sunday into Monday. Personally, I am excited! I think the whole reason that I work in schools in the Northeast is just for snow days! Grim says I sound like a 3rd grader when I talk about the possibility :) He thought I was just being insane when I started going on and on about how more was predicted on Monday, so we have a full-on bet riding on whether I will get a FIFTH day off in a row. C'mon Mother Nature--make it a good one!
Ok, last night we abandoned the menu plan and went out to dinner, since I had been cooped up inside the house for the last two days. I decided to have a "real" drink, which I almost never have. It was called: "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" and I don't know what was in it, but it was yummy! However, I am posting a picture to show you how much I drank. That's it. Less than 1/2, and I swear to you that I was as trashed as I would have been having 6 of those, pre-op. Alcohol is such a different (and somewhat scary) experience, post-op! What's so strange, too, is that within about 20 minutes, the sensation went almost completely away, and I felt sober again, like it never happened. So, it was yummy, and I enjoyed myself, but I know that I need to stay away from hard liquor, except for a few sips, a few times a year. If you are a newbie or pre-op, please listen to your docs about alcohol. It's a very real transfer addiction and even if you have no problem with it now, it will affect you SO differently, post-op!
QOTD: What is something you always wished you learned how to do/master? I have a bunch--I wish I payed attention in school and learned how to read music... I aso wish I really mastered a second language! But my biggest regret is never mastering an art/craft really well. I dabbled in bookmaking and collage and calligraphy and painting and I have made lots of things I am proud of, but I always (ever since I was really little) wanted to be a real artist. Maybe someday after I retire. Sigh.
Today I am looking forward to a shopping day with my mom! We love clothes shopping together and it's been way too long since we had a day with just us. Later, I'll sous vide something delicious for all of us, so she can see my new toy! I'm not sure about the timing for any of this, though and I haven't asked what people are interested in eating yet, so the menu is a bit up in the air. Here is my best guess at a menu:
18 months post-op / 117.4 today
B: 1/2 hot fit frappe mocha and 1 faux Starbucks Egg Bite
S: leftover cheeseburger from last night's dinner
L: ?? some type of sous vide meat! Either Ribeye or Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken Breast
D: ?? ahh, I wish I had a plan, here...
S: Homemade Protein Ice Cream made with Whole Milk and Syntrax Mint Chocolate Chip Protein Powder
Have a wonderful day everyone and make great choices!
We got more snow last night and it is snowing again now, we are suppose to get around 5 inches today and we are in the 18 to 24 for tomorrow night! I have lived in New England most of my life so whatever...lol

Good Morning JB and Menu Family!
How fun that you are getting some snow days! I hope you get a 5th snow day! It got up to 73 degrees here yesterday, which is unheard of for February here in Nebraska! I loved it and went for an enjoyable walk with Blossom. It's supposed to be cooler today, but not the icy cold we have been having. I hope it stays semi-nice for a while. I'm so ready for Spring!
I am not a drinker at all and have not tried any alcohol since surgery and probably won't.
Julia, you have plenty of time still to be an artist! Go for it!
QOTD: When I was in my early 20's I went hang gliding and I absolutely loved it. It was only a one-day experience About the time I realized I was off the ground I wa****ting the ground again, but it was still SO thrilling! I really wish I had done it more often when I was younger. Now I have bad knees that probably couldn't take the landing. I've always kind of wanted to do sky diving but I'm too chicken and again, I don't think my knees could take the landing.
B: bacon & spinach egg frittata
L: chili cheese dog
D: homemade chili
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
S: roast beef roll-ups with cream cheese
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC Saturday everyone!

Wow, you are so much more adventurous than me. I would never even consider hang gliding or skydiving! I am sure it would be enjoyable once I did it, but I'd never be able to psych myself into it.
Morning!
we got a bit of snow here in Ottawa, but nothing like MA!
Tonight we're doing another escape room! I don't know what the theme is, but it's inside the museum of nature, after hours! Should be fun.
QOTD: definitely wish I was more proficient at some skilled craft. Especially post op, I've been trying to find the right hobby to keep me occupied. I think I'll stick with painting. I am improving, but painfully slow. It does not come naturally to me.
Menu:
B: Premiere protein shake, I bought some powdered peanut butter, so I might add some of that for fun.
L: leftovers from the fridge. Either chili, or a bit of beef vindaloo and saag paneer.
D: tbd on where our day goes.
Have a great Saturday everyone!

I am really happy about missing the snow in Massachusetts (sorry)! Yesterday I had my last performance review and it was decent. I'm telling them that I am retiring at the end of the year after merit raises and bonuses are announced in March. Being here in Florida is making me want to retire even more, but I'm determined to stick it out!
QOTD: I wish I had stuck with flute lessons and also learned to play the piano. I wish I had learned to ski downhill in snow and water-ski. I also wish I learned to swim well. Oh well, too late now...
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: out to lunch - fish?
D: grilled chicken and asparagus
S: almonds, cheese, nut thins and hummus
