Good morning OH peeps! TGIF, seriously! This week sure did drag.... It's supposed to be sunny so that means beach walks with the pups for sure. We love taking them, they get so excited, have so much fun and then crash for the rest of the day. Nothing special other than that. Of course there will be chores, shopping, errands, BBQ, TV and of course naps!

QOTD - Random acts of kindness... I don't know how random these are, I think it's just being a good human being - I hold doors for people, I let others go first, let other drivers go or pull out in front of me. I give food, blankets or umbrellas to the homeless and when I see they have a dog, I will go buy them dog food or bones.

Good morning all...sorry I don't know how to insert a photo.  I'll have to play with it and will try again next week.  As of today, I'm suppose to be clear for a regular diet.  However, I had several days this week where simple foods (including jello) did not stay down.  I will take it very slow and see what happens.

QOTD:  I love random acts of kindness.  When we are out for dinner and see police officers come in, we like to pay for their meal.

Hubs likes to buy coffee for the car in line behind us, and if we see a young couple out with a little one, we'll buy their dinner sometimes. We never tell anyone we did it, we just hope they find a way someday to pay it forward. I love the idea of buying dinner for our fellas in blue!

You just never know when a small act of kindness changes a person's life for the better.

Love, love, love all of the photos that have been posted.

I'm off for the next three days, yay me.  Going to my dad's on Saturday for lunch and a good visit with him and at least one of my brothers and his children (his wife has to work). My dad has been in Texas visiting family for 2 months so I am glad to finally have him back home.  I was glad that he was able to get away for a while and have some fun. Since my mom passed almost 2 years ago (April 12, 2015) I have worried about him.  My parents we total soul mates.  They were together pretty much 24/7 after they retired in 2000.  They would still sit together on the couch right next to each other sometimes.  Sometimes they would still hold hands.  They were married for 47 years.

It was bad enough that he lost the love of his life suddenly, but almost 6 months to the day he lost the brother that he was closest too. We found out he had cancer the middle of August and he passed October 14, 2015.  This brother and his wife came and stayed with my dad for almost 2 months after my mom passed.  I think them being there helped him alot.  Then on January 31, 2016 my dad lost his best friend to cancer after a long battle.  He was there to watch both my mom and his best friend take their last breaths. (He would have been there for his brother too, but had car trouble on the way from SD to Texas and arrived about 2 hours to late).

Sorry that was so long...guess once I started I couldn't stop.

QOTD: I loaned a co-worker money the other week - in fact it was the co-worker who caused me to postpone my surgery (of course it was my idea to postpone because I knew she wanted the same time off, even tho she had not yet put in her vacation request in). Then as some of you know she cancelled her plans after it was too late to get my original date back.  (I loaned her the money before I found out she cancelled her plans.)

I always hold the door open for people - I lived in Texas for almost 17 years and as someone posted earlier that is just what you do.

Today's menu:

Breakfast - 2eggs, baby bel cheddar wheel, 4oz chicken breast

Lunch - Butter leaf lettuce salad w/  veggies

Dinner - 6 oz chicken breast, 2 cups oven roasted cauliflower

Snacks - celery sticks, 2 laughing cow cheese wedges, Turkey stick, string cheese

Calories - 1087, Protein - 133, Carbs - 37

Have a great weekend everyone.

Good afternoon. I'm late posting today and I'm doing so with a heavy heart. We met a family last year that live in another province. Their son had cancer and had to come to Toronto to have his leg removed right up to the hip. They are such a positive family. The mom posts all the time on FB. Last month, Chad was hospitalized due to severe pain in his amputation site. They found out his heart had been severely damaged because of the chemo but the cancer had not returned. Even up to yesterday he was okay. But this morning Paula posted that he had passed. He's 4 months younger than our oldest and it's breaking my heart.

QOTD- The snow was very light and fluffy today so I shovelled our driveway and the neighbor's. He's elderly and my husband always does it for him. But he didn't have time vefore work today. I also cleaned off his car for him. He may not need to go anywhere but if he does it's all ready for him. Other than that, I always try to hold the door for people, smile, and at work I try to greet as many people as I can by name. There are about 1800 people in our office and I probably know more than most as I've worked in different departments over the years.

Having said all that, its 12:30 here and I have not had anything to eat. So I better get on that. I did have water with miralax and Nesfruita drops. I don't know if you guys have those in the states but they are the best. I love the pineapple coconut and the lemonade. They're the only ones I've tried so far.

Here are my loves- I will be hugging each one a little tighter tonight.

Hubby and I will be married 21 years in April. The family pic is 2.5 years old. Bottom left- Tyler the nighthawk fell asleep on my shoulder at the dr's office the other day. Chelsie and I on her grade 8 grad and Ower n and I on his 11th birthday.  Plus my besties because I love them like they were my sisters.
