Trying so hard...

Not to just eat.

I want to actually be able to chew something and it is only day 2 of 21. My body hurts. My head is throbbing. This is really bad.

How did you cope with your liquid diet? All I can do is think about biting into something and that is pathetic and flat out ridiculous.

Oh, it sucked so bad.  The headaches for the first few days, the desire to chew something.  It got better after about 3 or 4 days.

Can you chew some sugar free gum?

It gets better by day 4 IMO. But I had 14 days- not 21... ouch I would lock myself in my room most evenings to not have to be around the family and their dinner's eating.

My family is pretty helpful with me. My mom hasn't eaten at home and my brothers never here.

I'm just stressed out.

This really is the hardest part of the whole adventure in my opinion. Can you have sugar free popsycles? That may help along with gum. Hang in there, you won't regret it.

I do have some! guess i can start including them as well. I feel like I am being a cry baby right now but idk what else to do. My family is trying to be super supportive but they don't understand fully.

I agree, the pre-op diet was the worst part.  The good thing (I guess?) is that you're almost to the point where it gets a little easier.  Just keep reminding yourself that it WILL get better, and just power through it!

Drink some hot tea. That helped me get through the pre-op diet. Good luck. Each day brings you closer to you surgery.

It's not easy but remember to keep your eyes on the goal and why you're doing this.  Definitely drink water and chew gum, which helped a lot.  I also asked my co-workers to watch me to keep me accountable at work.
