I did it!
WOW Look at you!
You are doing great!
Your progressing beautifully!
I have also decided to stay away from the starches except for Baby Gerber Oatmeal (which I enjoy).
I have also decided to continue my vegetarian journey.
Tried chicken yesterday... Painful & sat there like cement.
Tried chili and experienced the same thing...
Are you tolerating meat (4) months outs.
Maybe it is just too early... I am just over 5 weeks.
I am a bit worried as I am going away March Break.
We cook mostly, but every 3rd day, we like to go out for dinner.
My go to hamburger & fries are a no go! Hoping the restaurants have normal vegetable soups.
Love poached eggs & vegetable soups...
What are your thoughts? When did you find you were able to tolerate meats?
Still quite a bit of trial and error with me...
Take care my RNY buddy!

Hi!
I haven't had too much problem with meat since the beginning if I'm careful. Meat has to be chewed and chewed more then usual chew and chew. Shrimp has to be raw, then cooked vs. pre-cooked. Pre-cooked is tougher. Meat and chicken can't be overcooked either.
Soup is a tricky one because soup is liquid and solid together. You can take the broth first and solids after. Sometimes doing things "against the rules" doesn't immediately effect you but might effect you on the next thing you eat.
2 months in I started having a little bit of brown rice or black bean pasta. The experts here advised me against it. They were right. I've lost much more weight staying away from any carby foods.
Everyone reacts differently. You're doing great!
