Thanks.  What's really cool is that I was contacted by another teacher yesterday.  He was having his students to a writing assignment on people who have had a positive influence in their lives, and one of the kids wrote about me.  This kid has lost 60 pounds over the last year, and he said that seeing how I've changed myself gave him the motivation to do it for himself.  That was a really amazing feeling.

That is awesome. I am sure even if you didn't have the surgery you would have impacted the kids lives. Teachers are a major part of kids lives. 

That is really great that he wrote about you. He could have just made up a bull**** story to just do the assignment. 

How wonderful!  You must feel great, knowing you've inspired a student to make such a positive change.

Congrats on the pushups!  I couldn't even do those in high school!

If you want more snow, hop on the 1 75, head north to Sault Michigan, hop over the border to Canada, and I will give you, free of charge, as much of the over 5 feet of snow that we have as you could possibly want :-).

Oh, I miss it up there.  My grandmother passed away almost exactly a year ago, and she lived outside of the Soo (Michigan side).  After being up there 2-3 times a year, I haven't been up since last year.  We're definitely going to have to get back up, and spend some time across the border.  We all have enhanced licenses, and my daughter really gets a kick about visiting a "foreign country."

I'm so sorry about your Grandmother.

Love that your daughter sees Canada as a foreign country, lol.  I need to renew my passport, or else get an enhanced license myself.  I miss going across and my best friend married an American guy and moved to the countryside between Indian River and Petoskey,  so I need it to visit her.

I was planning to buy a jean jacket on sale in a smaller size as a reward come spring. Thought I should try it on just in case I was too ambitious....well, it fit!! And fit easily. Wild!!! 

(Turns out it wasn't on sale, so I didn't buy it, or a smaller one hahah)

I was never a fan of thrift shops. Now I am learning there are so many things that you can buy there. Maybe check the thrift shop to see. Also Old Navy usually has some good sales. 

I've checked out a few, but I'm still in plus size clothing, and most second hand stores don't carry plus size, or very limited selection in my city. It's a bummer, but I've had great luck with a Hudson Bay Department store outlet near my house. And shop clearance sales like it's my job haha. 

You will be surprised how fast you will need a smaller size. Clearance is a great thing. I have TJMAXX near me. That is one of my guilty pleasures. Well I have a list of them.
