Good morning! I have to admit that I feel a little smug here in Florida missing the snow. Back in Massachusetts SIL is WFH today. DS is supposed to start a new job as sous chef today, but he said that might be delayed until tomorrow.
QOTD: We have 2 traditional couches with slipcovers in different rooms (same couch, different fabric). We had one for about 5 years and liked it so much that we got a second one for the other room. I always lie on the couch and I find it very comfortable. DS was sleeping on one with the back cushions removed while the dog was ailing (she is doing well now) and was also quite comfortable. The picture below is of the second one (in our sunroom).
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese, English mufffin and peanut butter
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: some kind of chicken?
S: Almonds, cheese, protein bar

Yup- it's snowing here in Philly. Kids have a snow day- I'm in my way to work. Decided to leave the car and take public transit. Realized that I left my office key/badge in my car-- ugg.
Qotd: we have a microfiber couch set, a 3 seater and a love seat. Our love seat is barely used so it's like new. The couch is showing it wear where my hubby sits. They are attached cushions which I'll never do again. You can't take them off to fluff them or thoroughly vacuum. We don't let pets on the furniture- so I think that's helped sustain them- they are probably 5 years old now. I'd love a leather set next-- but fear what the cat may do it (though she's never bothered the current set.) we don't have enough space for recliners.
Will post my menu later-- my stop is coming up!

We had thunderstorms last night and lots of lightening. raining again now! Which means the dogs refuse to so outside to potty, not cool. Yesterday really focused on quality protein, that pork is sooo yummy! Today I think I'm going to have more and veggies. We are leaving next Wed for Savannah so I'm making sure we have all the fresh stuff all eaten up! My mom will be here but she will not likely eat anything healthy while she is here.
QOTD: We recently within the past month bought a new couch. My DH is a designer so he was switching up the living room from rustic (leather creations couch we had had for 12 years, and by the way, still in amazing shape AKA super quality AND lifetime on the frame) to a mid century modern look. We bought from wayfair. Untested. they do give you 30 days to decide if you want to keep it. It is a pretty lighter field green fabric with the button back. Looks lke this one but has two round bolster pillows on either end. Myself and the dogs are the only ones that sit in it. DH has a layzboy leather recliner he likes and I think it is ugly. opposite that we have a vintage sitting sofa we found at a thrift store. It was practically new and the owners just wanted something more rustic for their cabin. It sits great but it is not for 'vegging' out with the dogs. It is fabric also. I was very hesitant about getting fabric this time, but so far, no issue. I think with your big pups I would go for leather. easy to wipe off and plus with your snow.... And leather last so much longer to me. Have you looked at joybird? They have beautiful custom furniture that you can get in fabric or leather?
Food for today:
Coffee, more pork, veggies, down to my last yogurt so need to run out I think for more and I'm out of my homemade one.
OF if anyone makes it this far in my post reading, has anyone noticed that post RNY they had to switch to a more high powered deodorant? I always word degree and it worked for me perfectly. Once I had the surgery I had to switch to secret or something more 'high powered'. Not sure really why this is, but strange. Don't want to be the stinky one in the crowd.
