What's on your Menu Today (Thursday) RNYers?
Snow day here today! We are traveling to Tulsa over the weekend to see my son in his performance of a new ballet where he is a principal dancer for the show so I'm worried this will impact that. I'm gonna just hope the snow stops early enough to get everything cleared up so our flight goes smoothly. It's nice and warm there I hear.
QOTD: we have a sectional couch that I don't care for. I spend most of my relaxing time in my recliner chair that got got when I had rotator cuff surgery. It was really helpful after my RNY revision too cause my abdomen was too sore to lay flat. The only problem is.... looks pitiful in my family room. Doesn't really fit in there but it's too cozy to get rid of.

I'm not sure I can get over there on Saturday! Yikes, I almost forgot about it... it's going to be 86 in OKC on Saturday! How crazy is that??! My horse friend offered to come over and work with me and my Mule so I can get comfortable enough on him... she's hard to wrangle into a date, so I need to see what time frame she's looking at.
Funny, I asked for the biggest animal I could ride when we were looking for a horse for me. I ended up with a 16.1 hand Giant Mule (crossed between a Giant Jack Donkey and a Belgium Draft Mare... I wanted a big horse for a big woman... Now I'm 155 and 5'5"... not sure how in the heck this is gonna work! LOL.

It's crazy how hot it will be while we're there. I literally have nothing for that weather to wear! The weather is too crappy out here and the mall is closed anyway so I may have to shop in Tulsa! Poor me! I'm sure I'll be there in the future for a meet up. So long as my son is dancing there I'll get there at least twice a year. Enjoy the mule learning you skinny thing!

Good morning! Feeling pretty good today. The weekend is so close I can taste it! I have two 3 day weekends to look forward to (love my job).
So, a few weeks ago after having lost about 40 pounds (so fast), I noticed my face was looking haggard. Dark circles, lots of wrinkles I had never seen, super dry skin.... I was bummed that it would continue to get worse and I would look like a raisin after all was said and done. This last week I notice that the bags are gone and my skin looks better, healthier. I'm assuming it is my body adjusting. I hope that continues!!
QOTD - We have 2 couches in separate rooms. One is leather. It looks nice, great for dogs/hair, but freezing when its cold, hot when its warm. The other is a nice custom overstuffed fabric slipcover and it is washable, but it's a pain. It has loose back pillows and I'm always adjusting the slipcover and the pillows - No thank you for either ever again. We will be shopping soon for new ones. I really want higher end super comfy suede couches, one w/a chaise, one with a recliner. You get what you pay for and I want comfort and style that lasts.
11+ weeks since surgery
b- coffee w/heavy cream, SF hazelnut syrup
b2- LF cheddar stick and deli turkey roll up with mustard
l- hard boiled eggs
d-leftover chicken thigh meat w/a little marinara, LF cheese- broiled
v/l - working it
e-treadmill tonight
Have a great day!!

GOOD MORNING! Today is a very weird day for me - not sure why. I'm feeling incredibly lazy physically but relatively chipper as far as mood goes haha not sure what that's all about but I'll take it over some of the alternatives ;-)
QOTD: Furniture shopping is such a challenge in our house. Zach and I have very similar and sometimes not so similar taste in things haha. We finally decided to get new seating a couple years ago and we went to Costco to just see what they had. We ended up getting a pretty big 8-piece sectional there for a really good price. The thing I love about it is that we can rearrange it whenever/however we want to so it's like having a new setup every time. Zach misses his recliner though and our living room is too small for anymore furniture so that is one downside. Another thing I love about our couch is the fabric! I'm not sure what kind it is exactly but it's so easy to clean! Some kind of micro fiber/micro suede or something maybe.. anyway, we have three dogs and a cat and it cleans up so easy with a little hand vacuum and a damp cloth if needed.
B: protein shake
L: protein shake
S: plain Greek yogurt
D: plain tofu topped with hummus and roasted red peppers (I know it sounds weird buuut it's actually my new favorite lol)
S: a TINY scoop of Halo Top ice cream (still new here so somebody tell me if I'm bending the rules too much! I just want something that makes me feel like I'm getting a sweet treat. So tired of sugar free pudding... sooooo tired of it!)
V: the usual. Going to order the patches soon though! Can't wait to try them.
E: honestly? I just don't think I have it in me today. I'm going to try to get out for a walk after work though.
Hi everyone,
We now have about 17" of snow! Everything is closed.

Popping in late again, hubby and I went to Ikea for a while, needed to get DD a desk for her room. My menu finally got interesting yesterday with being moved onto soft foods, hooray! And according to Dr.'s record, I'm down 13 pounds in the first 16 days.
QOTD: We have a faux leather sectional in our loft that is great.... except the kids broke one of the recliners on it LOL Oops! Then we have two LARGE microfiber couches that are the size of couches, but are made up of two halves... both halves recline, so we have 4 reclining spots in the main living room. Our formal living room has a tweed and wood set of couch and love seat I found on the local resale site on Facebook. I love them all for different reasons, I think :D
B - water with scoop of Unjury Chicken Soup protein
L - 2 tbsps of Ricotta Bake
S - half of cup of pudding with ff sf pudding mix, scoop of unflavored unjury and 1% milk (doc said to switch to skim, which is what I meant to do anyway when shopping :D )
D - 1.5 tbsp of refried beans with sprinkle of rf taco shredded cheese and sprinkling of fresh salsa
S - other half of pudding
