The River Sports Adventure looks like fun. That is a NSV you know? The rides have weight restrictions and you could ride anything you want.

Have fun!

I volunteered to take another evening shift tonight for someone who's sick.  I really don't mind them (or at least an occasional one), my DH is working tonight, too, so I'd just be sitting around bored *anyway*, and it's easier to keep within my calorie range when i'm working at night.  Between that and teaching two more classes this afternoon, I won't have much time to think about food....   Plus this means I can hang out at a coffee place all morning - yippee!!

QOTD:  chocolates would last a long time around here, and my DH would end up eating most of them, so I never get them.  We can't have flowers in the house because the cats would eat them.  And we don't go out because the restaurants are too crowded.  So V-Day is pretty much a normal day for us.  We're boring people....

I had a dream last night that i was at JB and Grim's house.  Or if it wasn't their house, then we were all sitting around the same house.  I spend way too much time on here - it's so funny that i have dreams about you guys now!!

20 months out:

B:  homemade Greek yogurt

S:  coffee with half & half, double protein/fiber chocolate - salted caramel shake

L: getting tired of cottage cheese - may have two beef snack sticks and one or two Laughing Cow wedges

D:  another protein bar...(because of that 4-8 shift - makes eating dinner a bit difficult...)

S:  probably another Greek yogurt (L&F since it's a snack)

Good morning.  My tooth has been bothering me a little.  I hope it is just an irritation and calms (I get that at times).  My tooth is cracked and moves on occasion.  But soon I'll need to pull that tooth.  Not something I want to do right now as that means I have to play with my Warfarin levels again and maybe take Lovenox shots.  I was hoping to get to near goal before I had to go through that again.  Fingers crossed.

Valentine's day - Damn I better get to Walgreen's.  Last year I went the day of and was standing there with 20 other guys looking lost.  It was sad.  I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes so buying cards over the last few years was actually terrifying for me.  I'm not kidding.  If the store was crowded I just leave.  One year I didn't even buy a card and asked my wife to understand.  It was a bad moment. When I could, I'd buy the first card I saw and then sit down in the camera shop area.  This year will be different, I might actually shop and look at the card before buying.  But maybe I should go after work before I forget.  I haven't eaten actual real chocolate since 3 months pre-op.  I do have a bag of sugar free chocolates in the freezer - mint patties and peanut butter cups - for those days I want a sweet.  I've only had 3 pieces since buying it a month ago.  It's funny this is the topic.  My wife has a bunch of toffee in the freezer she got at Long Grove Confection outlet store.  Yes the best in our area and I have to live a mile from the factory.  Yes they have an outlet store and I could tell you their hours from memory.  That was a bad place for me and I'll never walk in there again.  That would be a very slippery slope, but I digress.  I looked at those last night and said to myself - would I ever?  I said no.  Which also answers the question what will I do when we go up to Door County this year.  Man I had that placed mapped out for sweets and bakery items.  Maybe I'll actually have to just walk and enjoy the scenery.  So much for Sister Sweets Door County Candy Bar in Fish Creek.  Damn those were good.  Oh well.

B Light and fit yogurt and a tbs of granola; small can low sod V8

L leftover chicken and egg omelette with 2 tbs of guac

D Getting to the last of the pulled pork and bbq sauce

S Chocolate Premier protein shake; Ostrim Jerkee

Good morning. Its a snow day for us today. School is cancelled and I don't work on Wednesdays, so it a home day for us. They are forecasting freezing rain this afternoon. I hope we don't lose power, but if we do, I ll cook on the wood stove..

QOTD- I love Valentines Day!! My husband and I are going away to a cabin at the coast on Sunday for one night. I bought him a new bible and had his name printed on it.  I don't want chocolate or flowers. For the past 23 years, my husband always writes me a letter. I will probably make a nice dinner for the family. I just want us all to be together.

I feel like I have lost my food joy if that makes any sense. I feel like a robot. I don't feel hungry, full or satisfied. I just eat the premeasured food according to the clock. I weigh and record everything and eat to get my protein in. I am focused on getting to goal and getting this weight off.

My plan for today-

B-chicken sausage

L-3 oz shredded beef roast with 1 T. ketchup

D-3 oz shredded beef roast with 1. T ketchup

S- Syntrax nectar shake

Calories-700, Protein 84, carbs 6

"losing food joy" is a temporary thing - at least for most of us.  Unfortunately.  I'd do anything to lose it again!

Good morning everyone. Kids are back to school and hubby is at work. I'm on my own until 2:30. Still have to figure out dinner- it's our bible study night so we aim go quick on these nights.

QOTD- Valentine's Day is not a big deal for us and I'd rather a pedicure over chocolate or flowers. I might buy steaks for the kids and hubby. They will enjoy that. We are definitely meat lovers here.

I'm really starting to get what people say about being a robot as far as food goes. I'm not interested in much of anything and eat to get my protein in. That's about it.

Breakfast- Greek yogurt with stevia and vanilla

Lunch - Premier protein with decaf coffee

Dinner - not sure

Fyi PammieAnne- the chicken crack didn't go over so well. It is my fault. I did it in the instant pot with too much liquid. So either the slow cooker setting next time or I will cook the chicken breasts first. Oldest son loved it though.

I'm trying crack chicken for the first time on Friday - any advice welcome!  I cooked a chicken breast on a trivet yesterday and it was somehow super rubbery and gross.  My BF was convinced I am trying to poison him.  I had to make him a can of tuna.
