What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?

Good morning Daze and friends! I accidentally got to work REALLY early LOL. I was trying to get here 15 minutes earlier than normal, but I always forget that if I leave my house 15 minutes earlier the traffic is completely different and end up 30 minutes early.

It's soupy here today and supposed to hit 60+ degrees, then tomorrow we're supposedly going to have 4-6 inches of snow? WTF Mother Nature? It's like whiplash, but I'm not going to lie - I. Want. Snow. I want a snow day! I am already annoyed that it will probably mean missing my 6am yoga though.

QOTD: I want ALL OF THE CHOCOLATES, but I'm hoping the Fella is smart enough not to do that. 1 or 2 really good chocolates would make me happy, but a whole box would **** me off - at myself - because I would eat them all in like a day and be both physically sick and then mad at myself for doing that AND irrationally mad at the Fella for not knowing I don't have the self control NOT to eat them all in one day. However, I think I might be getting an Apple Watch for VDay and since that's a bazillion dollars more than should be spent on VDay, hopefully there won't be any chocolates to go with it (also now I feel like the heat changing Beatle's Yellow Submarine mug I got isn't enough...)

Time since surgery: 2 years + 10 months

B: coffee, baked egg with turkey sausage

S: Siggi's

L: a left over chicken fajita wrap (the Fella and I both really liked this recipe - recommend!) and sweetened ricotta

S: nuts and string cheese

D: leftovers - I think I'm going turkey burger and cranberry goat cheese again because it was sooooo good on Monday

S: something!

V/W: on track

E: a 20 minutes FitStar work out this morning

Anyone have a fitness app they really like? I've used FitStar and FitStar Yoga - which I like only because they sync directly with FitBit/MFP, not because I really like the workouts. I've also tried Sworkit, which is ok and I forgot about until just now so I will try that again. The new habit I'm trying to build is working out for 20 minutes at home on non-gym week days, so I'm looking for some good options. Monday I tried a YouTube walking video with mixed reviews, today was the FitStar. What can I trey Friday?!

It's not free but I love the Beachbody workouts. 21 day fix is my favourite - 30 minutes and the only equipment you need are free weights and a mat.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

I did this one and thought it was pretty good. She can be a little annoying, but at 5:15am, anything is annoying to me.

Hi all

QOTD: I usually cook a really yummy meal for v day. Past meals have been shrimp scampi with pasta (have not made this in several years), steak, etc. For new years I made crispy duck and it was amazing. I'm thinking filet mignon, it is on 'sale' for 12.99 pound at the store and we are leaving the next day on vacation which means that likely my mom will be with us on valentines since she is watching her granddogs when we leave. Otherwise she will come up on the wednesday. I don't really care about gifts and have not gotten DH anything yet. If anyone WERE to get me something, I would want a month of unlimited yoga from the local yoga studio. I do not need clothes, shoes, etc (but want ALLLLL of them on the earth lol) but I do need peace and clarity of mind and that is what the yoga gives me. My favorite flowers are tulips and hydrangeas so I would love some tulips. I'm HOPING my tulips come up in our mailbox planter but I think I'm tooo late planting for them to come up.

Food- did pretty well yesterday, it was a busy day so I didn't have hours to agonize about what to eat or randomly cram crap in my mouth.

Food for today:

leftover pork loin I made last night, veggies (eggplant and mushrooms and green beans and lettuce)

Eggs maybe

coffee of course

more coffee

tea

other liquids

maybe a can of tuna

exercise- yoga class or my own creation on the mat depends how I feel.

Morning! Don't hate me Daisy, high near 70 today! This is not really a good thing...when we have temps this warm this early, stuff starts to bloom...then we inevitably have another hard freeze and it kills stuff. We have had the local berry farms and orchards lose most of their crop this way before. Summer will be sad if I can't get local peaches!

Valentine's...I will skip the chocolates this year. But, we are going on a date! With other couples! Like people DO! We haven't done this in years. My oldest is in college, my next oldest is autistic...would you believe it's hard to find a babysitter for an autistic teenager? lol But a friend of ours invited us to go to one of those break out rooms, where they lock everyone in and you have to solve some crime or mystery to get out? And her older teen is watching our kids. They are familiar with our son and I think it will go fine.

anyway, breakfast...I have oatmeal in the crock for the kids so I think I will have a yogurt and a baby bell

lunch- deli turkey and cheese roll ups, a few strawberries

Snack- hot tea and half a protein bar

snack- dinner will be late tonight, I will take a couple of turkey sticks and some almonds on the road

Dinner- southwest chicken salad

I did one of the Adventure rooms with my co-workers a few years ago. It was a blast!  At that time it was only the 2nd one in the country. I think there's a few more now.

Good morning DD2 and Menu Fam!

QOTD: I've not tested out my tolerances to chocolate, so I would hve to say no to chocolate this year, though maybe one serving of sugar free chocolate would be ok. I am much like daisy, where sweets were my downfall, so I believe them to no doubt be a trigger. I would like to go out child free, but that would depend on whether or not his parents will take my son for a bit.
