Good Morning!
Feel like I'm really behind this morning; I had a 7A meeting and just now got back to my desk. At least the day is almost halfway over!
Seems like every year my husband and I do something different for Valentines. Last year he booked a glass blowing class for us, which was a lot of fun. Sometimes we do diner and a movie, and we've also gone away for the weekend. This year we decided we were doing cards only. We're going to be putting our house on the market in June and have a few projects we want to do before then - money would be better spent there.
I finally made it to the gym last night and it felt so so so good! I think the C4 PreWorkout drink worked, or maybe it was a placebo effect, either way it got me to the gym and I'm happy about that! I forgot how good it feels.

Morning DD2. Sorry I was AWOL yesterday. Lots of little chores have been piling up.
QOTD: If I'm within a half a mile of chocolate, I start eating all of it. It's one of the things I can't stay out of, and the only answer is to not have it around.

Good morning everyone!! This rain and gloomy cloud business has got to go, I'm so over it. I miss my sunny California!
I looked up the normal weight for my height and it's 110-144, hum. So If I made it to my original goal of 150, I'd still be overweight and that pissed me off! I've lowered my goal to 140. After being around 300 for a few years it seems absurd. The last time I weighed 140 was in 8th grade. Then again, If I am happy at whatever weight, I will accept it. Screw the BMI chart.
QOTD - No, no chocolates for me! Pre surgery I used to enjoy Lily's chocolate every now and then, but I'm not going to risk a possible trigger during my first year. Honestly, it doesn't even sound good. BF knows this and will probably just bring me flowers. We are staying in and ordering Chinese.
11 weeks since surgery
B- coffee, w/heavy cream. SF hazelnut syrup
B2-cheddar and turkey roll up w/mustard
L- pizza in a bowl -homemade pizza sauce, lite mozzarella, LF pepperoni, bacon crumbles- melted in micro
D-baked chicken thighs, maybe a couple bites of chopped salad.

I am not sure on a goal weight either. A few years ago I did optifast and got down to 172. I was in a 10 and happy with that. I was thinking 150, but that still puts me overweight. I am 5 ft 4. What does your doctor say?

I'm 5'4" also. My doctor didn't give me a goal weight. My doctor says the average loss for RNY is 75% of your excess weight. This would be 130 pounds for me and would leave me at 180 and in the obese category! I didn't really do the math until now. At the time, the thought of losing that much weight was still incomprehensible and 180 sounded great to me! I set mine at 150 for myself after being on here and seeing it was possible. I just changed it to 140.... I'd like to be a 'normal weight', but if I feel good, I'm healthy and happy, I will be okay.

I'm not sure how to react to the BMI charts. Like you, I am 5'4". I had surgery at 351 and got down (at my lowest) to 155 which looked very skinny on me. I felt most comfortable at 165, size Medium/size 8. I am up a few lbs from that, still fitting in Medium/8, but I would like to lose 7-8 lbs again. I think I may still be considered obese but I feel very comfortable, confident, active, and healthy...

Good to know! I can't fathom being that small, but I'm going to wait and see. Funny I already had in my head if I was an 8/med I would be thrilled to death - what ever that weight was. I guess I will just have to see how I feel. Thank you!!

Hi Daisy and friends! I've missed you all but been CRAZY busy the past two weeks starting my new job. I had a major fail yesterday, was in class all day and ate 1/2 piece of cheesecake. It was delicious and I was miserably weak and tired for for the next hour with no bed in sight!
Today I have been much stronger and stuck to my yogurt.
Daisy im so sorry to hear about your mom. That's scary but the good part is treatments are excellent now.
For Valentine's Day we are going to a local dinner theater company. It will actually be the Friday after Valentines because the 14th is on a work night and I've got no time for that. I bought a sparkly slightly over the top hot pink dress, I will have to post a pic. On 2/14 I will be spending most of the day at work, doing meet and greets with staff and having cupcakes and coffee for them.
B- tea with fairlife milk, Dunkin' Donuts wakeup wrap (3/4!of one )
L- 4 oz chicken with some kind of queso sauce.
D- shredded chick with pico, shredded cheese and Greek yogurt
S- yogurt
S- string cheese
cals are around 740, all other numbers are good. Have a great day friends!
