After trying to lose weight..or even if I wasn't losing, wanting to be losing.... after 53 years the idea that I should try and stabilize was foreign...losing I knew...gaining I knew but trying to stay the same? Ack! Love what JB said going to the nutritionist...they had to remind her that fluctuating is a normal part of maintenance....

and remember I write these things to remind myself, because they are the very thing my brain struggles with ....

Thanks for the post. I'm guessing that I'm just being harder on myself than I need to be. I don't know.

I agree - the whole idea of maintenance is very foreign to me.  I've been in "lose" mode for so long that it's really hard to stop.

Good morning gang, and Daisy, I am so sorry to hear about the diagnosis for your mom.  I will pray for her and for you and all of your family. I can't even begin to imagine how you're feeling right now.  Of course we would all understand if you had to step away from OH, family will always have to come first.

I am working from home today.  My little one, Kaladin, didn't take a nap at daycare yesterday, so when I got him in the car at 5, he fell asleep on the way home.  I tried to wake him up after about an hour and a half, but it was so painful. He was so tired and just cried and cried, so we let him go back to bed.  Well, guess who was up with a 3 year old at 2:30am?  That's right, this momma right here.  I tried to doze on the couch, and I didn't make any coffee because I wanted a chance to fall back asleep, but I have been up since 2:30.  So, I'm at home and working.  I'm grateful that I have the ability to do this.  It's kinda funny, because I think that my wifi here at home is actually faster then the network in the office. I'm working with Excel spreadsheets that have more than a million rows of data and it seems to go so much faster here than in the office.  Plus, I'm not wearing a bra, so that's always a bonus.

DD2QOTD:  I have NSVs everyday.  last night Bugsy, the super pup, had the night time zoomies.  It's been so cold and icky here that he doesn't like to go out yet.  He's only 12 weeks old, less than 6 pounds and with short hair he only goes out long enough to pee or poo and then stands there staring at me and shivering.  I even bought him a coat, but he's still not having it.  So last night, he was just full of energy.  So he and I played chase through the house.  I chased him through the kitchen and into the dining room, and then when I caught him I'd turn around and run at top speed back to the family room with him on my heels.  I'd end up on the floor with him licking my face off and nuzzling in my hair.  Before surgery, I wouldn't have wanted to even get my ass up off of the couch to play with my 3 year old, let alone run through the house playing with the puppy.

18 months since surgery

honestly everyone, because of my ****ty night I actually have no plan.  For breakfast I had 4 leftover meatballs, cold from the fridge, and a piece of toast that made me feel sick.  Of course I'll have coffee with SF coffeemate all day.  And I've also had lots of water this morning as well.

Lunch I will have my leftover fish from last night.  i really, really love baked cod.  My little one skipped dinner last night because he was sleeping.  So when we came downstairs at 3 this morning he had baked cod and a big glass of milk.

I haven't planned dinner, but I have tons of leftover meatballs from Superbowl Sunday that my boys can eat, and I think I might have some shrimp with ****tail sauce.  I'm not feeling great today, because I'm exhausted, so not feeling hungry or anything.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  And Daisy, my thoughts and prayers for your mom, your dad and your whole family.  Stay strong!

You have your hands full between super pup and the little one getting up in the middle of the night. The fact that he would eat cod at 3 am made me laugh.... Do the best you can today. No sleep is rough...

I find it crazy about the fish.  I make it and we have is when my hubby isn't home, because hubby doesn't like it.  But Kal actually asks for it for dinner.  He told my hubby one day that he wanted the fish that mommy makes.  I hated fish when I was a kid, but both my kids love fish.  I call that a win.

Thank you Deanna for your love, prayer and support, means a lot to me!

Sorry to hear about Kal not sleeping, man that must be tough!  But I am very pro "no bra" so I am quite jealous of that LOL

I love your NSV, must have been so fun to play with Bugsy!!  Having all the energy you do now, out dancing on the weekend, keeping a house, got a puppy, got a 3 year old, got a full time job, you do it all Super Mom and you must feel great.  I know you are tired but don't forget to give yourself some slack for how hard you do work inside & outside the home!
