Yes! I remember wondering who made my towels get bigger!! Then I pranced around and made my entire family look at me in a towel that covered all of me!!!

I think they think I am NUTS!

Thank you Amy for your prayers & support!

So glad your mini getaway was great!  The game was epic right!

OMG I LOVE your NSV!  I so remember the day when my towel fit around me too!  I also remember yelling at my husband when I was MO that he must be "shrinking" the towels in the dryer as they were not fitting me!!! Ya I was in total denial that I was getting bigger the towels stayed the same size!  So awesome, keep up the great work, can't wait to see more of your NSVs to come!

Great menu!!!

Hi Daisy,

I am SO sad to hear your news :(  On a positive note, I know and am related to a **** ton of breast cancer survivors.  They have come an insanely long way in treating patients with breast cancer, and if your mom has any of your positivity and moxie, I think she is going to be just fine!  I am so sorry to hear the stressful diagnosis, however, and you have a whole community of folks here to support you - whatever you may need.  Sending millions of positive thoughts your way.

I think my whole life is an NSV, to be honest.  Since losing half of my body weight, I have gained a loving boyfriend and his 3 amazing kids.  I find the most mundane parts of family life to be an NSV - I mean, at 350 lbs, I could have never kneeled by the tub to detangle the 6-year old's hair in the bath, or run after the 11 year old at the playground, or taken the 14 year old to walk around DC and shop for hours.  So yeah, RNY continues to be the best ever gift I could have given to myself.

Time since surgery: 3+ years

B: Leftover dover sole (yep, I'm a weirdo, but it was good!) and coffee (spaced out, obviously lol)

L: Instant Pot chicken with a bbq-type sauce, snow peas with ranch

D: Taco Tuesday - made with ground turkey, taco shells, onions, guacamole, Mexican cheese

E: Well I may hit up the gym but it's randomly 70 today in DC so I may just go outside and walk

Daisy, I hope you get through the day and keep your hopes up.  Cancer is no longer a death sentence.  And your mom has a lot of prayers on her side, in addition to amazing medical advancements.  We're here for you!  Hugs, Em

Thank you Emily for your love & support, means the world to me!

Thank you for your positive note that cancer treatments have come along way, it helps quell my fears!  It is stressful, and it literally makes me cry tears of Joy knowing I have my family & friends in real life and my OH Family & friends to help me through this!

Your NSV description made my heart smile!  I love how happy you are with BF & the kids! You must experience wonderful NSVs daily and you are giving the kids such an awesome role model of health & happiness, so wonderful!

taco Tuesday, jealous!

Hugs back at ya!  Thanks Em for your kind words.

Love and comfort to you and yours as you face this scary time. Nothing about this is easy but you are strong and you have one another. One day at a time.

QOTD: I haven't felt "ugly" in days.  I haven't been crowing at my reflection but I am feeling happy with how I look. Last night I started to fret about how my boobs look when I lean over (they hang weird since the surgery...the skin is still loose and 'drapes' but the implants don't move...it is a little weird/alien looking) and then I stopped and thought "Nope, I love my boobs and if leaning over is the worst thing then to hell with it." That may sound like not a big deal but that is a whole bunch of self-love compared to my typical internal monologue.

Menu: B: Greek yogurt with sugar free hazelnut syrup and 1/4 shredded coconut 1/4 tsp unsweetened coco powder; L: Sugar free vanilla pudding and a cheese stick (need to go to the store); D: Beef sausage and sauerkraut with mustard; S: Grapes and/or cheese stick; ES (evening Snack): Oatmeal (planning this now so that I won't go off the deep end with some other random food...hoping it helps with night time snacking)

Accountability: Weighed in at 122.8, all good there and holding steady. Ended up eating at a TexMex place last night and about killed myself by having a big handful of chips.  Uhg...my pouch reminded me she still is not ok with that much fat and carbs. Felt good that it is still working but I was miserable for an hour or so. Chantix still set for a Monday start. Meds are really making me a zombie but I am taking those bad boys every night. It does feel like I am getting used to them so I am hopeful. Night time snacking happened last night but it felt more controlled.  I had an apple and made sugar free pudding and had one serving.  I haven't had SF pudding before and it was damn tasty.  I could have and wanted to eat ALL of it but I didn't so that is a win.

Hope today goes well for all of you.

I do that with my boobs! Even if they're not implants, they are very alien like... when I put them UP into the bra, sometimes there is all this skin I have to tuck in.. Ugh... but then, I raise my arms high in the sky, and the girls rise up and show me they're still there, in all their glory! (OK, so maybe I wouldn't win the good beads in New Orleans anymore, but some fool up on those balconies would so throw me a few pair!)

I think making a plan for a night time snack is perfect... because if it's on plan, it's not cheating... and sometimes you just need a bedtime snack!
