Good morning DD2 and the Menu Crew.  I had a wonderful, tiring weekend.  Friday I left work early to go to Therapy, so when I got home at 5:30, I started working on a project to make up my time.  I'm an hourly employee, but I do have freedom to work from home occasionally.  I got into the project that I was working on and didn't want to stop until it was finished.  I ended working until 9pm that night.  I had my laptop in the family room, so I was able to interact with my kids and hubby and the puppy while working.  It was surprisingly productive, and enjoyable.

Saturday my hubby and I went out on a date night with our best friend couple.  Both of them have had WLS, he's a sleever and she had revision to RNY the day before I had my RNY. She has gotten to her goal weight and looks fantastic.  I love going out with them because they get it, and it's so cute because they always split a meal.  Once my hubby has surgery, we'll be splitting meals as well, we'll save so much money.  We went to the Gandy Dancer, and I got the seafood trio.  I ate half a crab cake, probably 2 ounces of salmon and 1 shrimp and then tagged out.  I also split a bottle of wine with my friend Kristy, lol.  THEN, we were early for the Comedy club, so we decided to stop into the Ann Arbor Distillery, which is a craft spirits place that distills Vodka, Rum and various other liquors.  I had the best drink there, it was called Beets by Tre.  It was rum with some sort of beet extract or puree or something that was infused with rosemary and it was garnished with a sprig of rosemary.  It was earthy and rich and delicious.  I think that I would have enjoyed it a little bit more if it wasn't so strong.  It was so pretty, I took a picture.

Then we were off to the Comedy Club.  We were front row, literally 2 feet from the comedian on the stage.  So, my hubby with his full woolly beard, and me in my awesome outfit kinda drew a lot of attention.  The worst of it was that I had been drinking for a while, and I have a big ole mouth, and I am afraid that the banter between the comedian and me embarrassed my hubby.  I have to say though, the comedian started it, lol.

After the comedy club, they were all still raring to go, but I was starting to fade.  BUT, we hung in there and went to a local bar that has a live band and dancing.  It was pretty fun, and we danced until I realized that I was completely exhausted and needed to get home.  I didn't get to bed until 2:30 that night (I never stay up past 11, seriously) and then was up at 7:30 the next morning.  I'm still recovering a bit today and I'm chugging water still.

18 months since surgery

B: 2 eggs, 1.5oz of ham and 1/2 ounce of shredded velveeta.  Coffee with SF Coffeemate

L: I'm splurging here people.  1.8oz Braunschweiger (liver sausage) with a slice of cheese and yellow mustard on two slices of 35 Calorie bread.

D: Baked cod with lemon and fresh grated Parmesan

S: Light and Fit Greek yogurt and fake crab legs.

I did pretty okay with my food this weekend.  I did have a few handfuls of BBQ Chips last night, but I wasn't feeling great yesterday after being out Saturday night.  I'm not going to be drinking at all for the rest of the week. ugghh.

DD2QOTD: I'm an extrovert, 100%.  Even when I was heavy, except when I was having some serious anxiety issues back about 16 or so years ago where I wouldn't leave my house, I've always kinda been loud.  Back when I was obese, I think it did it more so as a way to protect myself.  I was sometimes obnoxious about it.  The loud funny girl.  I'm still really outgoing and have no problem talking to people or going somewhere where I don't know anyone and being able to talk to people.  I feel more confident now, and I feel like I'm more genuine now as well.  I'm a very chatty, happy person and I think sometimes people still may get annoyed a bit.  I smile and say hello to everyone I pass in the halls at or, or even while out shopping.  Introverts don't tend to like that very much.

I'm going to upload some pics and come back and edit this post to add them.  Have a great Monday, everyone.

The skirt does light up, and this picture doesn't do it justice.  It actually twinkles.  There are three strands of lights thatsoftly flash to make them twinkle like stars.  I was like the belle of the ball on the dance floor.  All the girls were coming up to me asking where I got it.  It was awesome.

I got it from Think Geek.  I think it's out of stock right now, but my hubby bought it for me for Christmas.  I love it and was just waiting for the right time to wear it.  It's, obviously, not everyday work wear, lol.

Well....I'm sad to say that we played chicken with the germs and LOST   Our whole house has been taken out at the knees by this stupid bug.  My son is feeling better at least, but of course it's right when both Pat and I are down for the count.  It was kind enough to wait until after the EPIC game last night at least...so thank goodness for small favors.  We enjoyed seeing history being made....what a nail-biter of a game, and that catch Julian Edelman made....I mean WOW!!!!

Anyways....as much as it pains me, I made the decision to reschedule my surgery ....I just don't feel good about going into a major operation after I've worked through this puke bug, I want to be firing on all cylinders and I am most definitely not right now.  I have to be smart about it....even though waiting longer sucks major butt.

I scheduled it for 3/15/17 - the Ides of March.  It will give me more time to focus on cementing those habits, more time to get my Vitamin D up (my values came back low so there's a prescription waiting for me), and more time to watch the scale continue to creep downward through my own sheer will.....see silver linings, that's what I'm telling myself.

QOTD: Definitely an introvert, social interaction wears me out.  I can do it, I don't mind hanging out with friends and talking, playing games, etc. but I need a recharge afterwards and my preference is to just stay in.  I'm married to an introvert so that works very well for us.

MENU:
I don't even want to think about food right now....so, fluids....I'm focusing on fluids today

Have a great day guys
