What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
The T-Mobil ads were hilarious. I was watching with a big group of our friends who are all in the fetish/kink community. Oh man...we were all dying! #TheSafeWordIsUnlimited
3 ounces sounds so tiny! I measure things in cups and half cups and such so I don't have clue what '3 ounces' would look like on a plate. I know Grim weighs stuff and I keep thinking I should try that. Do you use a scale?

"I am basically food's creepy ex-girlfriend. I know we can't be together anymore but I just want to spend time hanging out" ~me, about why I love cooking so much post WLS
The T-Mobile ad was the best! I missed one, apparently, according to the crowd at our house... I need to go back and find them. I knew when my brother inlaw complained on FB that the commercial was too risque for his daughter, then it had to be good (and my guess is that my 8yo niece neither understood, not took the same from the commercials that his older dirtier mind did!)
I do use a scale... it's just easier for me to 'see' what I can have. for a big meal, I put my plate on there, add 2.5-3 ounces of meat... then whatever else we're having to keep it at 4.0 ounces... sometimes I eat it all, other times, I don't. For breakfast and lunch, I just have the 2.5-3 ounces of the protein, and then if my brain feels the need for more, I'll grab a handful of pork rinds, or a cheese stick to add to it. But if I'm mentally in a good place, the meat itself is plenty.

Jealous of your trip to Montreal! Especially since you got to see two Canadian teams. It would have been cool to see the young talent in Edmonton and you definitely got your moneys worth with OT and a shoot out.

I live in NY State, am only about 45-50 minutes from Montreal...weekend traffic made it a breeze to get in and out of the city. Was a decent game and had Seats 5 rows from the ice that makes it really fun to watch.
The one game I've been to in Montreal was quite an experience. They take their hockey very seriously. My friend and I can be at a game, watch, yet carry on a conversation about an entirely different topic. We felt we couldn't do that there. As an aside, it's always fun to have guys try to "teach" us about the game. Look, buddy, save your lessons for someone who needs them. Just because I have boobs, doesn't mean I don't understand the game. To the penalty box with you! Oh, and Go Kings Go!!!!!

My best friend is a huge Canadiens fan, so much so he has their logo tattooed on his chest. He wears his jersey for every game, watches them in french if necessary even though he doesn't understand a word and he takes it VERY seriously. During the playoffs it's best he watch alone... especially when it's not going well.
I grew up playing hockey and I love it, doesn't matter who's playing I'll watch. Actually it's something I've been considering doing again. I think it would be fun to find a league and start playing again.

Years ago when we were driving to South Carolina we realized we'd be passing near Greensboro and the Hurricanes had a game that night so we took a chance and decided to try to get tickets. We were 4 rows up in the corner and with Toronto being the closest team to us we'd never seen an NHL game from that close before. Years later after they moved to Raleigh and won the cup we couldn't get anywhere near as close. We were right back up in the top rows just like at the Gardens or ACC. Great atmosphere at a Canes game.

Good Morning peeps! So believe it or not I watched zip, zero, nada of any football yesterday. John and Emily had a father-daughter weekend at the coast so it was just me hanging out yesterday. Thanks to the tip from JB, before he left town yesterday morning my hubby was at Target when they opened and bought the last Instant Pot that was here locally (I wanted instant gratification and didn't want to order from Amazon). So last night I made shredded beef and it was pretty tasty and still can't believe it was done in about an hour. We are getting some rain today but shouldn't be as bad as the torrential downpour I drove home in on Friday.
I like the photo Friday idea of LOVE!
QOTD: I am pretty much an extrovert. I can start up a conversation with a person in line at the grocery store sometimes. I don't like speaking in large groups or things like that though.
