What's on your menu today (Saturday) ?
Hopping on at the end of the day LOL
QOTD: I've been to my fair share of big concerts. I've seen Maroon 5 play five times total over 12 years, and have seen Lady Gaga, Prince, Lilith Fair, Lollapalooza back in the day, John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, and that's just the shows in my adulthood... as a kid my mom took us to plenty of shows too including seeing Rod Stewart several times (her personal fave LOL).
I'm battling with myself and the scale, which I thought might happen. I lost 9 pounds in the 6 days post op, and since then I've gone down maybe a pound. I'm now only 12 days post op, but being perfect (e.g. 60-70 grams of protein and minimum of six glasses of water) per doctor's guidelines and charting, and moving (avg 7500 steps a day is my goal until post-op) I figured I'd see more movement in the last week. I know it oftens goes in a "step" pattern.... I'm just wondering how long I'll have to wait for my next "step" LOL
Meals:
B - hot chocolate (one cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk and one scoop IsoPure Dutch Chocolate mix) - 1 cup fluid plus 25 grams protein
L - pudding - ff sf chocolate pudding mix (half box), one cup 1% milk and one scoop unflavored unjury - one cup fluid plus 33 grams protein total (ate half for an early lunch and other half for a late lunch)
D - cup water with scoop unjury chicken soup flavor - one cup fluid plus 21 grams protein.
Additional fluids throughout the day totaling 40 ounces +
#patiencegrasshopper hahaha, don't know if you are old enough to know that reference :)
OK OH decided to go big or go home...LOL that wasn't me trying to make a big point.
When I had surgery I went into a stall one week after surgery and it lasted 3 1/2 weeks. Nothing, nada, zilch...no weight loss. I was sure I would be the only one it wouldn't work on.
I was doing all the right things.... In the end it worked in my favor because it made me deal with my brain some :)... this is not a diet, it is life...so just keep pushing forward and it will happen...

Oh yes, old enough LOL I'm celebrating my 40th bday this summer. I told hubby I need to not have such easy access to the scale. I had my post-op appt slated for Monday, but it got pushed back to Wednesday. I'm a bit bummed, as I'm hoping to try the ricotta bake and some soup blended, but I can wait another two days. At least what I'm doing now I am comfortable doing. I'm just used to patterns of previous weight loss and I am not following them now LOL
I'm comfortable, which is nice, not in pain, chugging along fine. So, I'll try to bust out my inner grasshopper ASAP.
I weigh myself everyday... I know some will say don't do it but for me it has been a good discipline... and again has forced me to deal with my own mind games. In maintenance it has been especially crucial....and if I hadn't been doing it all along I probably would struggle more with it.
I only record once a week on Wednesdays (the day of the week I had surgery), ....while losing, I always recorded on the 23rd of the month- the day of the month I had surgery so I could see month to month... and then I always recorded Doc's visits when losing- again it just helped me see where I was at.
Not that I am totally detached emotionally...I have my moments... but doing it daily helps me not get emotional over every fluctuation....if I see it going too many days in the wrong direction then I analyze and adjust....
