What's on your Menu Today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Good morning menu crew!
It's been a strange week with the 2 oldest kids having exams. They were done Tuesday so they were home most of the week. Our youngest is also off today. Dd, younger ads and I are going to IKEA - it's about 30 miles to the closest one. We have a mini one nearby but it's a waste of time. You can order what you want and have it shipped there for $20. Excuse me but I will drive the 30 miles thank you.
I had had a Fitbit Flex for a couple of years and liked it but I really wanted one with a screen. I never wear a watch. I bought the Alta a few months ago from our local buy and sell. The person said she bought it, wore it for a week and then decided to get the charge. I paid $90 CDN for it and was then able to sell my Flex for $45 so all in all it was a great deal. I got a really nice band for it from Amazon and it really makes it look nice. I've had so many compliments.
Menu
I have no clue I'm sitting here contemplating that right now. Here's a tentative plan:
B protein pancakes or poached egg
L: Skyr yogurt to go so I can eat at Ikea
D; Cod- haven't decided how I'm cooking it yet
Pics: the first one is my Alta. The 2nd is my sentiments on the scale right now. I'm not in a stall but definitely stuck in first gear. The 3rd are my stats since surgery. 3 weeks ago yesterday!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
you're still down since January 9th, so good job! Right now, during the losing phase, I dont hop on the scale every day. I get on maybe every 4 days or so, and I try my best not to stress if it doesnt move as fast as I'd like. I think i just have a lot of faith that this first year I will lose. I think i'll be weighing daily a year+ out since I see the daily accountability (and resulting success) while maintenance for many on the thread.

Qotd: I have a fitbit zip that sits in my nightstand drawer. It does a great job of making me feel like I failed when I don't reach a step goal, so I keep it out of sight. I do have a fitbit surge on my wishlist for when I ever decide to get serious about fitness. For now I can't justify the expense of another nightstand resident. LOL
I've had all four grandsons home with me since Tuesday (kids are germ factories) and as a result, I'm extra tired this Friday. I usually look forward to weekends so we can have a little fun, but I think this will be a 'take it easy' kinda weekend. Here is my current mood --
Fell off the wagon yesterday, first time in 5 months, I ate a cupcake. Can a person make bad choices because they're too tired to weigh out their planned food? Well, I did just that yesterday. I know I can't eat the frosting or I'll dump, but the cake was amazingly delicious and I've since forgiven myself and moved on. Happy Friday!

Good morning. Still recovering from my NUT appointment yesterday. Nothing like being told you are eating too much, only to see that the difference is somewhere between the half cup target and less than 2/3rds of a cup on average for each meal (with about 75% of the meals at target). My wife was making fun of me at dinner because I still took a cup of lettuce with my 3 ounces of sashimi. Man that was good. I've never had left over sushi or sashimi before. The good news is that I have 3.2oz of salmon/tuna for lunch at work today. I have an all morning meeting starting in an hour that ends with lunch, so fingers crossed there will be a salad. NSV time again - I am going to a 70th anniversary party tonight and wanted to wear a dress shirt. I have dress shirts spanning many sizes. Blew through them most to the point I can't wear any. Sadly with about 40 dress shirts the 10 that are still good are about 20 pounds below my current weight. I'd look like the hulk if I wore them. Oh and none of those 40 fit (still too small) around Thanksgiving after already loosing close to 100 pounds. So back to my daily shirts for the party.
QOTD - no fitbit yet. I still have a drawer full of Polar hear-rate monitors. I do want one, so I'll wait and see. I was almost bed bound with inactivity (would get very upset if I had to walk an extra 20 feet after parking my car), so I'm just starting to move and its fun again. I always seem to win something like this when I need them. I won a couple of hear-rate monitors when I was running. Not sure why this is so, but I win absolutely nothing but health stuff. Maybe its my health karma speaking to me.
B - SIX OUNCES OF YOGURT (take that NUT), but nothing in it. Damn! Ah, hell - I'm tossing in some almonds
L - 3.2 ounces of sashimi - maybe a little lettuce
D - The last of the sashimi and a bit of leftover ham to round out the protein. Probably all on a handful of lettuce with mustard dressing.
S - Ostrim stick; Premier protein shake

Yeah. Sorry about that. User error. I was making a minor edit and it deleted my entry and then that erased the post. I was going to come back and re-input it last night, but didn't get time.
