Good morning Daisy and menu friends, happy Friday. Yay for the weekend.Saturday I'm cleaning and prepping for our birthday celebration. I'm making my honeys cake and his favourite is chocolate so I'm pretty safe. Not a chocolate cake lover lol.

QOTD: I wear the UP fitness tracker from Jawbone. I love it. I love challenging myself to move more. Wow Daisy, I cant believe you have over 2,000 steps at 6:10 in the morning. Good for you, that's so amazing. When I got my tracker late summer I was getting a little over 1,000 steps a day. As the weight came off I got more and more steps in. Now 6months later I'm getting on average 4,ooo steps. I'm on the waiting list for my second knee and fingers crossed if I keep continuing like this I'm not going to have it.

Im sharing 2 pictures today, the first one is of Seamus our beautiful wire haired miniature Dashound. Seamus decided one day to take over the cats bed. It was the funniest thing, watching that little house shake and sway as he was turning around. Our cat Bella was not amused. Second picture is of Marshall, he's part Shepard part lab, this beaut is my daughters husbands dog. We adopted Marshal when the kids lived with us for awhile. He shed so much that I used to vacuum him and he loved it. He'd roll over so I could do the other side lol.

Daisy I love your motivational quotes, I'm sure we could all use these. I'm Sorry that your struggling with night time snacking. For me I'm best to not have this stuff in the house.

I went to Vegas for the first time last weekend. We had so much fun!! Here is a picture of me and my bf right before we saw "Absinthe". Such a funny show.

QOTD: I got my first fitbit almost 2 years ago. I am addicted. I have had the Zip, Charge, and now Charge HR. When mine dies I will probably get the Charge 2. I have only had one week in the past 21 months where I have not had at least 70,000 steps. I aim for 116,000 steps a week, but usually get 100,000. I only have around one day a month where I don't get at least 10,000 steps.

I got my first one after my boyfriend had a stroke. I was able to maintain my weight without exercise, but his stroke was a wake-up call that I needed to work on my overall health and that includes being active.

I gained 4 pounds in Vegas. I have already lost 2 of them and have 2 more to go.

I've been MIA for the last few days.  It's crazy at work.  One of my co-workers is leaving next week and has been training me on a bunch of her stuff (in addition to my own workload).  My head is spinning and I'm really glad it's Friday.  No big plans this weekend.

QOTD:  Love my Fitbit.  I've had it since I lost weight the last time - got it through my work's wellness program.  I actually received a new one last year, but the old one is still working so I haven't taken the new one out of the box.  The old one is getting kind of beat up so I may have to switch to the new one soon.

B:  Decaf coffee w/scoop of GNC vanilla cream protein powder

L:  Shrimp and maybe a string cheese if I'm still hungry

S:  1/2 c. Greek vanilla Light-n-fit, 1.5 T PB2, 1/2 scoop protein powder

D:  Steak and maybe a bit of left-over asparagus

Good Morning everyone! Only 8 more hours until I can turn off my work phone and radio for the weekend!!! This weekend is going to be lots of R&R with a little football thrown in. I also will finally get to see the new metal roof that I had put on - due to my work schedule, I haven't seen my house in the daylight for awhile.

QOTD: I wear and love my fit*****arge 2. I usually log around 13-15,000 steps and about 35-40 flights of stairs each day at work. I have almost every piece of equipment that you can find in a gym in my spare bedroom but for the most part, it sits untouched. It's an excuse but I am just too exhausted when I get home and getting up any earlier isn't happening. I definitely need to at least make use of the weights.

Still doing horrible with taking time to eat. And for the past 2 days, I just can't force myself to drink another shake in the evening. Today I WILL hit my protein minimum of 70 grams!

Menu:

B: Premier protein shake

L: 1.8 oz sautéed shrimp

S: Chomps meat stick

D: ham and cheese frittata with salsa

V: Patches on

Water: Great start already

My photo is something I found online when I was having a moment of comparing myself to others - it had nothing to do with WLS at the time but I think it is definitely something that most of us can relate to.
