Day 3 post-op, lots of growling. Normal?

I'm on day 3 post-op and have a lot of growling (empty stomach, hungry like) that seems to come from my "old" stomach. Is this normal? I also have a bit of gas but more located in my intestine area.

Lots of gas, lots of growling. Do NOT confuse it with hunger. It's not.

It's completely normal, I'm 3 weeks post op and it still "talks" to me at times. The thing to remember is that it is not hunger and the gas will eventually pass (no pun intended)

that's cool, our surgery dates are two days apart. How is everything going with your eating? Have you been cleared for any light exercises yet?

I haven't been back to my surgeon yet. It's been delayed until March because my original surgeon ended up leaving for mat leave. I do have to go to my centre for a nutrition class on Feb 15 so I will know more then.

If your procedure was laparoscopic, a lot may have to do with the air they have to pump in your abdomen so they can see what they were doing. Also, going without food before surgery causes us to get gassy. It gets better. Totally normal

totally normal- do not confuse with hunger or it will lead you down a dark road.
