Good morning all!

I've been awake for hours....since about 3am.  Combination of hubby snoring, being too cold because he left the window open last night, and jitters.  Today is my preop round of appointments and I'm actually typing this from the car while he drives.  We have the preop class, then an appointment with my surgeon, an appointment with anesthesiology and a blood draw.  I'm also ready to make some heads roll because I still haven't gotten any word on insurance approval despite my surgery being only 9 days out.  Yesterday my surgeon's nurse sent me a message asking if I had records for my weight loss attempts prior to April 2016 (when I started with them) because BCBSNC is now requiring that information from all their patients.  I admit I laughed a little at the absurdity...12 months is child's play...like many of us I've been attempting it for YEARS, both with programs and self direction.   I'll talk with them about it today but I think because I've been in their program since last year the old guidelines are what I'll be required to use.

QOTD:  We will be watching the Super Bowl...and this is the first year we haven't bought a bunch of junk food for it.  I got my husband some cheese pretzels, and I'll be sticking with something protein based...I'm happy with the scale results thus far and not interested in screwing that up :). We aren't rooting for anyone in particular...we really just want to see a good game

MENU:

ith the all day appointments I packed up some protein shakes and a small fiber bar and my trusty water tumbler.  If we have a break I'm going to try and get some grilled chicken bites from chik-fil-a (my phone totally autocorrected that to CHIN-Fil-a and I almost left it because it's true....most of the food there is certainly a gateway to a double-*****

have a great day guys!!

Morning DD2!

I'm more of a bored eater. I can't do much of anything but stew when I'm really upset. Not the kind of stew you eat, either. But mostly, I just get into bad habit, mindless eating.

QOTD Go Pats! And Monday is Truck Day! It'll be just one continuous celebration. It's really just another day, and I'll jus****ch at home. I can't remember the last time I went to a Superbowl party.

For the record I don't eat stew either!  Was forced to eat that crap when I was a kid and hated every minute of it. And I to "stew" about things.  Normally when I am stressed I lose my appetite (someone close to me is sick or something) but this was new last night Ha ha

Sorry I can't send hubby down on Monday for truck day, there is this minor thing he has to do JURY DUTY BLAH!!!! But do send him updates he will love that. Oh and our TV is already locked on the 24/7 baseball channel, it has begun!

I don't do stew either way...

But mindless eating when I'm bored... I'm finding this to be real. Last night I literally paced the floors  because I didn't need to make dinner... it threw me out of my routine, and I didn't know what to do. I knew I wasn't hungry... I won. Last night.... thank goodness!

Ugh... I've never cooked stew, and I won't. If anyone in my family wants it, THEY can cook it.

Cow comes home today... there will be plenty of meat in there to get crafty with!
