No football watching for me.  It is my weekend to work.  Not a big football fan anyway, but as stated before I do like the commercials and love the puppy bowl.

My bad eating spree of just over 3600 calories caused me to gain 6 pounds.  It's been 2 days and the scale only went down one pound.

Today's menu:

Breakfast - 2 eggs, Canadian bacon, baby bel cheese wheel

Snack - Turkey stick

Lunch - romaine lettuce salad w/ cucumber, green bell pepper, yellow cherry tomatoes

Snack - Turkey stick, Greek 100 yogurt

Dinner - 6 oz chicken breast, 2 cups zucchini

Good morning everyone!

It's been a running joke between my BFF and I that my life is like groundhog day everyday; resumes, cover letters, get stressed and then workout to clear my head, back to the job boards, resumé-ing, stress and repeat. Really hoping this six more weeks of winter thing doesn't mean six more weeks of unemployment!

Feeling good about how things are going so far this week. I'm working hard to hit my next mini goal of entering the 260's and my Fitbit is noticing lol. It's kind of embarrassing how much motivation I get from getting a new Fitbit badge but hey, whatever works!!

Edited for QOTD I'm a sports fan but not a huge NFL fan. However, it's a great excuse to get out and be social and this year I will be going to my BFFs sisters house. My BF will gladly stay home, I'm not sure he could tell you what NFL stands for. Actually I'm confident he couldn't.

B- coffee w/ SF hazelnut

L- chicken sausage

D- haven't figured that out yet... chicken??

S- turkey bite, protein drink

Yesterday I was asked were my protein was in the morning and I usually don't have any until lunch time. I didn't make the conscious decision to hold off on eating it's just a routine I fell into but I'm open to suggestions if any of you think I should make an adjustment.

Happy Thursday to all!!

Good morning!!! Thank you Daisy for all your support! Everyone on here has been wonderful in their own way and I really appreciate each and every one of you.

QOTD - YES!!! Die hard Patriots fan here and it's awesome to know that so many of you are as well!!! I LOVE the Pats and Tom Brady (sorry haters!). I love watching Rob Gronk-sexy in action(unfortunately he has been out almost all season and will be out for the super bowl as well :(  he is recovering from back surgery.) We will be heading to So-Cal to BF brothers house for the super bowl. I will miss my usual spread of wings, grilled sausage and jalapeno poppers. Not sure what will be there, will have my bag stuffed with good things to take. I read that a few of you are Lions fans, so is my BF. At least they did much better this year than last! After College and NFL are over, BF goes into a slump, he doesn't know what to do with himself. For me, it means I have my weekends and my BF back. We can get back to hiking and other outings that I love.

10+ weeks out from surgery

b-coffee w/1 tbsp. of heavy cream, SF hazelnut syrup

b2-hard boiled egg

l-deli sliced chicken roll up with ultra thin pepper jack

d-shrimp scampi -very excited about this!

v/l -down to just diluted grape water now, its all I can get down besides hot drinks

e-walking the pups if the rain lets up

Have a fabulous Thursday!

Good morning menu crew!

I don't do football and as Daisy said, Super Bowl is not huge here. Our son is looking forward to it though. We made plans with my in-laws to go out for lunch on Sunday- I am not looking forward to that. We were also invited to a potluck which I would have preferred but we've had this planned for a while. It's for our son's birthday and everyone's favourite restaurant is a Chinese food buffet. I know they will have to pay for me and I'm not going to be eating much if anything at all.

Breakfast Vanilla premier protein mixed with a small decaf coffee. Wow that's a lot of liquid! I will be working away at this for a while.

Lunch- still working on the premier protein

Dinner- not sure yet - maybe a poached egg.

Snack- either another premier protein or a skyr yogurt with protein powder.

Oh - eating- my eating isn't usually driven by emotions or boredom. My weak spots are portion sizes- pre-op I would always fill and clean my plate and go back for 2nds. Also, when I get home from work has always been a problem time for me. I'm starving and still have to get dinner ready so I'm quite likely to eat just about anything at that point. Going forward, when I get back to work, I will pack a dense protein snack for the train ride home to avoid that feeling.

Have a great day!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

when I go to the buffet and I don't eat- and there is more than 2 of us - I tell them I don't eat and ask for just tea.... or coffee. But then I really don't eat- even a bite of ANYONE'S plate...

you can call them in advance...  because it is a group setting - they may accommodate you.

I used to have severe allergy to soy... so I really could not risk eating anything in Asian style buffet... but for social reason - I went to the "party". we never had to pay for me except  a few $$ for tea.. or water... often we added extra $5 to show appreciation to the restaurant and the waiter.

Good morning.  I'm with you, Daisy, I **** off eat too.  I'm trying to take control of that, but it's hard.  Luckily, I don't get pissed off too much or it would be a real problem.

DQOTD:  I'm not a huge pro football fan, so I'm not invested in who wins.  We have an office pool going, so I'll be watching for my "numbers."  My running partner usually has a party, so I usually go there to watch.  Her family keeps kosher so I really can't bring anything, but she usually makes a full spread of yummy food and there are definitely things I can eat.

I'm trying something new today.  You all have heard ad nauseum of my dumping issue.  So, I'm going to try and break my planned for food into really really small servings, and just eat more often throughout the day, so I get all my nutrition in.  I have mixed feelings about this plan.  It seems very much like grazing to me since I'll basically be eating all.day.long.  However, my consumption won't change, just the time it takes me to eat it.  My dietitian is hoping that this will prevent or at least minimize my symptoms.  My other concern is that I get busy at work and finding time to eat all day, and still do so mindfully, may be difficult.  But like I've said in the past, if they told me to stand on my head for 10 minutes before eating to minimize my symptoms, I would.

My plan:

B: 1 oz ham, .5 string cheese

S1: 1 oz ham, skinny vanilla latte (spaced appropriately)

L: 1 oz chicken thigh meat with .2 oz hummus

S2:  1 oz chicken thigh meat with .2 oz hummus

S3: 1 oz chicken thigh meat with .2 hummus

S4: Light and fit before the gym

S5: 1 oz almonds after the gym

D: 1 oz pork chop

S6: 1 oz pork chop

Totals:  ?????  I'm not going to put totals until I see how much of this I actually eat.  Just looking at this typed out, I know it will never happen

Lol.  I'm sensing some skepticism . . . which turned out to be well deserved.

and I really meant that as good luck....

As long as you can stick to the plan...(there is the skeptic in me - yea...while you work.. day after day????  )

Plus - there is so much - eat a few bites and stop ...I could handle when more than 1 oz of anything would cause pain... right.... once I could taste the food..

i.e. last night I dumped.. really bad.. I ate too fast too much... thick beef soup... it was too much and too salty...too concentrated...  etc..

I ended up taking total of 8 hyoscyamine subl tablets and 1 narco.   At least now I have drugs for that... and know what to take and when...and how much..
