What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning gang. My son stayed home sick today after a long drawn out back and forth about the virtues of going vs staying home to rest. I hate that he is missing more school but he was coughing a ton and felt generally terrible. Poor guy. Work is busy today and I feel like I am behind on everything. Meanwhile I am still having this dazed confused problem from my heart medication. I find myself getting 'lost' and forgetting what the heck I need to be working on pretty often. Hoping that improves more.
Fridge is still dead. This makes eating and meal planning a mess. Last night the Guy decided we would just eat out. There is a place that was a BBQ joint that just changed to a "country buffet." There are not many options in our town so he wanted to try it. It was awful. I couldn't eat any of what I got. Ended up with a toasted whole grain PB&J. I found a jelly that is 1/2 the sugar of regular jelly (5g sugar per serving and no artificial sugar) by Smuckers. It was super tasty. Tried to have a 100 calorie popcorn snack because...well..popcorn. Didn't finish even half of it. That was a first. I haven't had that "too full...don't want to snack" feeling in the evening in many months. It was really nice. Hoping that sticks around a while.
QOTD: Sunday is D&D day! Our friends who host the D&D are having an 'after party' to watch the game. They both had WLS and so I know the meals and snacks are always WLS friendly. I am hoping to make something in my Instant Pot to take...thinking Chicken Crack might be just the thing. I trade out the cream cheese for Greek yogurt and it is yummy.
Menu: B: Light & Fit Greek Key Lime w/ 1/4 cup grapes; L: Light & Fit Peach w/ 1/4 grapes; D: No clue...need to get fresh ice and ideas at the store tonight; S: Chobani Simply 100 Crunch.
Accountability: Weighed 123.2 this morning. Waiting for the 'poo fairy' to come for 2 days now. Took some extra stuff to help move things along. Oatmeal might be my evening snack if things are going by then. Very little extra snacking since the Great Orange Incident of 2017 on Tuesday night. Hoping to keep that going.
Have a healthy day everyone!
~Elizabeth

My belly has been angry since the orange thing. I think my pouch is just like..."NO! Now listen *****NOT THAT MANY ORANGES! Don't make me tell you again!!!" I doubled the stool softener I take daily. Will try the oatmeal and if not get serious with the Miralax et al. I did restart my probiotic today too. That might help.
Hope we all poo happily soon!

I never thought of adding psyllium husks right in my yogurt! I take fibre capsules a couple times a day, and it has been effective.
