I am proud of you too Liz, good for you for getting it under control, its so hard, the carb & snack monster is always at my side!

I can't believe its been a year since your daughter passed, I remember when you joined the menu post and she had recently passed. I hope you can find strength in knowing that she is no longer suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with you & hubby.

Hope you enjoy the birthday celebrations, I am making chilli this weekend too! Between hubby and I we have someone in our families who has a birthday every month of the year so lots to celebrate and lots of times for me to RESIST CAKE! lol

Good Morning all. Puppy/Kitten bowl fan here. No surprise to those who know me! The rest of the family usually come over and watch the game with hubby while I go downstairs to family room and watch the puppies and kittens and surf the web.

Boredom eater, stress eater and FOR SURE anger eater! Ugh! When I'm angry I usually am so mad I think, "I deserve this because I had to deal with.....". Funny how we try and justify poor eating habits anyway we can :(

Yesterday's menu: B:coffee (duh), 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/4 cup blueberries L: hunters sausage D: 3 oz. pot roast, 1cup spring mix with 1/4 cup blueberries, 2 tablespoons dressing S: pepperoni stick

True on your statement "I deserve this because I had to deal with xxx" so true, so true! I like to think that a lot of non WLS people and skinny people also do the same thing when they are stressed.  Stress is not unique to obese people its unique in how we now have to deal with the stress without food post surgery which is what a lot of us did, eat our feelings.  We are all works in progress right!

Hello pouch pals! Another busy work day ahead- people are literally lining up to be able to run into burning buildings to save lives.

Well since I broke the caridinal rule of speaking my mind yesterday-- I figure I may as well be consistent. QOTD: I feel the same way about football as I do about pets. Can do without it. I realize that may very well make me anti American... I can live with that- somehow I'll carry on. I do like apple pie though-- does that count?? My hubby will watch and make football eats- but he has no dog in this fight (pun intended!). It'll be just another Sunday to me.

Im an emotional eater- I have emotions therefore I eat. :-)
