I don't post very often but I'm always on this forum reading and learning. I'm so excited and thankful for this surgery. I just learned that I don't have Sleep Apnea anymore.... YAY!!!!!  (Sleep Study results) I'm going to go home and pack up that machine!!!!!

That was my most favorite NSV.  I wonder if there is a place to donate used machines?

That is a good idea to donate the machine. I'll have to look into it. I agree that its going to be my favorite NSV. I think being diagnosed with sleep apnea is what prompted me to look into the surgery.

Thank you!!! It came much sooner than expected. I'm a few days shy of 8 months out.

Very excited for you!  I get tested in a couple of weeks.  Wow what a relief that would be!

I'm glad that happened for you.

Weight loss doesn't cure all sleep apnea. After a 200 pound weight loss I still needed it.The sleep doctor told me about 25% aren't cured.

I'm glad you got the study and your off the machine!

Thank you!!!

I did realize that the weight loss might not cure. The doctor warned me going into this sleep study that sleep apnea has alot to do with size of tonsils, shape of your airway etc. not just weight. I feel very fortunate that the weight loss did cause mine to go away and I'm hoping to use that as motivation to keep the weight loss going and not to regain.

Hopefully your weight loss did bring a reduction in the severity of your Sleep Apnea and a reduced pressure.
