As one of those people who went away for a while and now am making an effort to be back, I'd say it's about the accountability and friendship, keeping myself honest with myself, and I'd even say there's some level of guilt associated with it - which sounds a little funny - but what I mean is wanting to put my best foot forward, be a good example for newbies, and not be that person that your sister's, mother-in-law's, boss's second cousin knew who had WLS and gained it all back. Believe me, I don't want to see you old friends struggle, but knowing I'm not alone in the struggle is a) comforting and b) your ideas help give me ideas. As to why I left - I think I wanted to pretend I was normal...
My morning is packed with back-to-back meetings, then the afternoon is calm. I wish I could spread things out more, damnit!
Time since surgery: 2 years + 10 months
B: coffeeeeee, baked egg and turkey sausage
S: Siggi's
L: taco chili
S: nuts and string cheese
D: Quest bar on my way to a hair cut
S: popcorn? TJ's crunchy cheese bite things
V/W: on track
E: it's all about fitting in the steps today
I made the mistake of not hiding the TJ's crunchy cheese bites and now the Fella likes them. I told him we're going to have to put our names on the bags because I don't like to share!

Daisy- how true your words are. This is freaking hard. and I totally agree on the yogurt bit! I was having it as my bedtime snack and it sends me down a rabbit hole of wanting more 'sweets' so IF I eat it then, I eat something heavier meat wise with it so I can 'stop the madness!' ( I'm quoting Susan powder, lol if anyone remembers her)
QOTD: accountability and friendship I would say.
Did fairly well yesterday on the food. ended up with 815 calories which is just a tiny bit over my 780 limit. prot 89, carb 37
My yummiest meal was a tie between fish taco on lettuce for breakfast OR leftover spareribs for dinner. they were very juicy and fatty and great.
Today I can't decide if I want to get out after work to meet DH or just stay in. The $1 clothing starts over today at both places I like so....
Menu- in no particular order
Protein waffles, egg whites, coffee, tea,
dinner will either be out OR I will make gumbo or turkey burgers, just not sure?
OMG Susan Powder... my roommate and I made this HUGE pot of Lentils, and fresh salsa (that fermented because we didn't do it right), and walked and walked and ate lentils and more lentils... I think I gained 5 lbs on her diet And that's all I remember of that diet... except for her, and her short white hair! LOL
