Morning!
I ended up having a completely different menu day than the one I planned. After I went to the gym with my sister, we ended up running errands so had lunch out. I had chicken and shrimp pho, no noodles. Then, pork chop and broccoli for dinner. All on plan though.
Qotd: I think there's something very valuable about having an outlet for our shared experience. My support system is great, but they really can't "get" it, the way you guys do. I love how everyone's story is different, but we all share this in common. I love the accountability, and support. I hope to get to a point down the road, where I'm able to give back to the community as well.
Menu:
B: premiere protein shake
L:leftover pork chop
D: curried fish stew
S: Greek yogurt with bran buds
have a great day everyone ! Off to catch up on yesterday's posts!

Morning everybody!
Daisy, you make a bunch of great points. Since the first day I've been on OH, I have seen a steady flow of posts that begin "Hey everybody, I used to be a regular poster but it's been several months, and I've regained xx pounds."
I was determined for that to NOT be me. I've seen medical studies that show those who maintain regular support, either online or in local groups, do much better than those who try it on their own. Sometimes, just showing up can pay big dividends.
I stay here every day for MY continued health. It's crucial. Helping others and having a little fun make it more enjoyable, and helps me come back every day.
Listen to Daisy everyone. She knows her stuff.

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family, Happy February!
QOTD: The closest WLS support group is a 3 hour drive away from me, so this site is SO valuable to me! I enjoy all the friendships I have made here, the QOTD, the accountability and the advice from the vets is so helpful! Daisy is exactly right about saying take advantage of that first year. I am coming up on my one-year surgiversary and I have not lost as much weight as others have or as much weight as I wish I had. I'm sure things like protein bars and grits and other high-carb items are what has slowed me down. Daisy has repeatedly tried to warn me and I didn't listen very well. Now my weight loss is slowing down and I wish I could go back to that "golden" time and re-do some of my mistakes.
B: bacon & spinach egg frittata
L: chicken & wild rice soup
D: chili cheese dog
S: Light n Fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the neighborhood
Have a wonderful Wednesday and a fantastic February everyone!
