What's on your Menu Today (Wednesday) RNYers?

I woudl replace shake with something dense protein - if you must.  lunch - skip the yogurt- get more cheese or even nuts.

anything with sugar- activates insulin. Once that stuff is in my system - all bets are off.  BTW - whey and other protein shakes - would stimulate insulin.  If I have to early (I don't anymore - i still hate breakfast) I chose eggs, sausage, low- to no sugar jerky, even nuts.

IMO - a meat stick even a small handful of lower carb nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, etc) - they work better for me than yogurt... specially Fat free yogurt.

If you must eat - try to avoid things taht woudl make you more hungry later during the day.

to know what stimulates insulin - google - food insulin index.

They told me 1800 because I didn't have to loose anything prior to surgery but I just have such a difficult time with moderation.  Definitely something I have to work on.  :/

Up in the right hand corner, next to your name is a little envelope. Click on that and then you can look up people's usernames to send them a message. It's really pretty easy.

The hard part for me is looking up there to see if I have a message... I don't know how long some of mine sat up there unnoticed. LOL
