Seems like the only time I have a minute to post is lunch time... oh well...
QOTD: I have gotten invaluable help here. I'm certain I wouldn't be eating this way had on not listened to the wise and successful vets that are here. I want to emulate you and learn from you and then pass on what I've learned to others. If I'm ever going get healthy and stay healthy with this addiction I need help from others but I also feel that I should also be willing to give help. If I'm here reading and posting I'm going to be more honest with myself and more accountable as this journey goes from "this is a miracle" to the hard part of maintaining that I'm hearing and seeing so much about. It helps prepare me and forces me to look at the difficulties others are having so that when I'm in that phase of this I'll know I'm not alone.

Morning. Today has been one work disaster after another. But, I finally got a moment to breathe. I'm actually looking forward to a Dr. Appt. this afternoon so I can get out of here!
DQOTD: I come here every single day because I truly feel like you all are part of my extended family and I love the support and friendship you all offer. I may not post every day, but that's more a result of my job and sometimes crazy schedule (whether I'm in court, at a mediation or deposition will have an impact on my ability to post), but I'm here every day reading and feeling your support. I starting reading the site about 4 months before my surgery and have been a faithful reader since then. You all know some of the struggles I've had, and I don't know that I could have made it through without all of you. And for that, I can't see an end to my use of the site.
Plan: Totally up in the air given the craziness of my day and my upcoming Dr. appt. But, here's what I have:
B: Egg white bites from Starbucks. Sooooo good, even though they were only lukewarm by the time I was actually able to eat them. I'm not 100% in love with the stats, since I aim for 1g of protein for every 10 cals, so these fall a bit short. But they were close enough and yummy.
L: Chicken thigh meat (4.04 oz)
D: ????????
S: Skinny latte, ????
Not even going to add totals since this plan is a mess. Hoping to pull it together by the end of the day.
You are so right Daisy. I am so glad to have found this group and taken advise. I would not be as successful without you guys. I am almost one year out. Most of my weight loss was during the first 6 months. It has gotten much harder to lose now. I have a sugar addiction. I'm really struggling with sugar cravings. I know that eating protein and keeping carbs at a minimum are key. Although I do not post often, I read the board whenever I can. I will keep fighting everyday for this amazing new life.

noooo....don't hate on my little half a protein bar...it makes me so happy to have with my tea...i haven't seen it be a trigger. But I'll think about it.
I am not sure why coming here helps exactly. I think, for one thing, it forces me to plan. I have to cook for a husband and kids that are not eating like me. I need to either think I will adapt what I am fixing them or plan something else for me altogether. If I wait until I'm hungry and its dinner time and I have to hurry and eat so we can move on to the next thing,,,it doesn't go well.
I enjoy getting to know everyone through their posts. I'm sorry if I'm too wordy. I talk a lot in real life too...
I do read the thread too. Usually when I go to bed at night I will read through some or all of the thread. If I'm tired and know I won't last long, I will start reading the last couple of pages figuring they don't get read as much, lol.

Not that I've done a lot of poached eggs in my life, but I know I've never heard of poaching them in marinara! I bet that's good stuff!... and then I think I'd need to add cheese... because, you know... marinara and cheese. YUM!
