I'm pro broccoli everything, but over the last 18 months, I've only had about 3 pieces. Too dense and can't fit it in.
Haha, yes Grim--please weigh in on how you feel about Broccoli Rabe...

I had to look it up! I've never heard of this before... but 'bitter' and'greens' in the same sentence, and suddenly I don't feel like I need to ever try it (I don't like turnip greens)

What the f#$k is broccoli rabe? I've never even heard of that.
Honestly and truly, the last green leafy thing I ate was maybe 40 years ago. I am just not going to eat them. Two or three years ago I ate some baby carrots. I was at some shindig, and my choices were baby carrots or my own arm. I'm never going back to THAT house.

I'd never heard this story! Frankly, I am really surprised (and possible even a little disappointed) that you didn't go for the arm.
HaHa Ha, you're too frikin funny man! Well I love them...I can't help it it, I'm 100% Italian. Ya know, like the sausage(Italian that is). Ok I get it, it's not your gig, but.....I actually meant since it's almost most no carb do see an issue with eating it 4 months out? My stomach can handle it in small amounts or are looking at it as it's not protein so it's a no no? I remember you saying just a couple days ago you count it as what it really is like cheese is high in fat so that's what you consider it even though it has protein?

My Doctor's Mantra has always been: protein first then veggies, then IF you have any room fruit then carbs....
In the first year you really have very little room for anything more than protein and occasionally a few bites of veggies. Just make sure eating a veggie isn't putting you into the overeating category just because you want to have it.....

I love broccoli rabe and broccoli with tons of butter! At 4 months out I don't see a problem with eating it but, and there is always a "but" if you are eating dense protein you technically should not have room for veggies. But eating meat all the time its hard and some of us start to get menu fatigue and you have chosen a good veggie, low in calories and low in carbs. So yes great veggie to choose, but maybe only eat it with dinner so just one meal a day? Is your evening snack yogurt? Its a slider food and will not keep you satisfied. You are better off eating that at your before dinner snack and having your 2oz of low sodium ham in the evening. I am learning that the hard way myself, the yogurt in the evenings is making me crave sweets and its a slider food and its not keeping me satisfied in the evenings, now I am 3 yrs post op but I had to switch it up.
Sorry about the stall/weight gain. Are you going to the bathroom okay? #2 not urinating. And your menu's are great, you are doing everything right. This is a stall. Trust the process. Your totals are excellent, 90 protein, 9 carbs, awesome! Stalls happen when our bodies feel like making it happen, no rhyme or reason. I have seen it at 3 weeks, 3 months, 9 months. If you are truly sticking to your plan, not eating "forbidden" foods you will drop. I know easy for me to say but look how good you did on CAMAW (Winner) so you know it works, trust the process and keep up the great work!
