How often do you eat?
I am 10 months out and doing pretty well, however my book from the surgeon's office says that at 9 months out I should start trying to eat only 3 meals of 4-6 oz each per day and no snacks. until now I have been eating 4 meals per day(4-6oz each meal). I am having a really hard time trying not to either eat 4 meals or snack between. How often do you all eat and how much?

I feel like I always have to preface with, you should talk to your surgeon or your nut about any deviations from your specific program, so with that out of the way.
At almost 3 years out and basically since I got back to solid foods I eat 3 small meals and 3 small snacks a day. They're all planned, stay within my calories/protein/carb goals, and tracked. When I talked to my nut about it she wasn't super on board with it at first, but then we discussed that these are planned snacks - not mindless eating.
It's what works for me!

Sorry, it's been SO long since I set it up that I have absolutely no idea...

I eat three meals a day, although occasionally I'll have a Greek yogurt at night if I'm hungry and can afford the calories. That said, I make a double protein shake or latte every morning, usually stretching it to around a quart using extra liquid, flavorings, and ice. I sip on this all day. If it weren't for this, I'd probably be having a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon (and again, possibly in the evening as well). Something small, though - like a hard-boiled egg or one of those 80-calorie Fit & Light Greek yogurts.
I eat 5 times a day. They are all meals, and all planned. No snacks. A snack implies something less healthy. A treat. That doesn't work for us. I also eat mostly by the clock. If I get hungry in between, I need to wait it out until the next meal time. Hunger is not an emergency.

I can't enough protein in one sitting to reach my protein goals with just 3 meals. I plan for 5 small meals. Like Grim said, not snacks, meals. At this point (at 18 months post op), my hunger is back, so if I have a day that I don't feel hungry, I roll with it and eat less. But most days I really need the small meals spaced out over the day to feel satisfied and reach my nutrition goals.
