Morning! Stupid busy day here...son has two hours of therapy...grocery shopping with the other kids during...cheer practice tonight for my two girls (not at the same time of course, that would be too easy!), and school and such getting done in between it all.

Last thing I binge watched was Blacklist. I finished it around Christmas time and then refused to let myself watch anything else until I get back on my elliptical. I will watch something while on it. It's my self-bribe. Then I broke my toes, so...they are healing fast though. I think I'll be ready in another week or so. I am watching Dr Who with my hubs. I have already seen it but I talked him into it and now he's hooked. Happy to watch them again!

Breakfast- eggs with cheese and salsa

Lunch- Thai chicken soup

Snack- tea, 1/3 protein bar, some kinda something from the grocery store...cheese? Almonds?

Dinner- making this Italian grinder recipe...kinda sloppy joe-ish. I will have just the fillings.

dinner will be late so no evening snack

Good morning DD2 and my peeps.  This morning was a complete clusterfuck (excuse the language, but it's appropriate).  We got snow over night and what is usually a 45 minute commute turned into an hour and half.  Thankfully hubby was home and able to get my little to day care for me this morning, so at least I didn't have to deal with that.

Day 3 of Vyvanse and things are going well.  I will not admit to being perfect yesterday, I did have an unplanned evening snack (a peanut butter granola bar), but I avoided the popcorn.  I'm going to have to make sure I'm prepared with a low carb evening snack in the future.  I was able to make it through the day on plan and just fell off of the wagon in the evening.

almost 18 months since surgery

B: 2 eggs, 1.5oz of ham and 1/2 ounce of shredded velveeta.  Coffee with sugar free coffeemate creamer

L: Bean and Ham soup.  I'm about done with this and thank goodness, my fingers are so swollen from all of the sodium!

D: boneless chicken breast with salsa and shredded mozzarella

S: Light and Fit Greek yogurt and imitation crab legs.

totals:

Calories 743 Protein 81 Carbs 37 Fat 26

As much as I want to keep my calories low, I kinda learned last night that if I restrict too much that my evening snacking is still there, even with the Vyvanse.  So, planning a little more food today and hoping that it helps.  Also, I'm going to have to ask about Decaf coffee at work because when I would normally be drinking coffee in the afternoon, I had to stop because I was getting shaky with all the caffeine mixed with the medication.

Have a great day everyone!

I hate when I forget the QOTD!  Not really watching Netflix right now.  We don't seem to have a ton of time with the kids and the puppy to sit and watch a lot of TV, but I did get to watch an episode of My 600 Pound Life last night.  But thank you for the info about that kids show that you watched, I have limited cable, so we don't have a lot of kids channels and I know that my little one is always bored if we put on the same shows over and over, so finding him something new to watch is good.  I'll see if he likes it tonight while I'm making dinner.

I've read that eating a better breakfast tends to help with night time snacking. Pre surgery I know this worked for me but at 2.5 weeks out I don't know if that works.

I usually eat pretty well in the morning (when I don't eat oatmeal).  I think that, at least for me, the need to snack has absolutely nothing to do with hunger and everything to do with just having issues with food.  Food comforts me, it feels good while I'm eating it.  Unfortunately, it almost killed me.  So, now I fight the good fight and do what I gotta do to live a healthy lifestyle.  Hugs!

It's awesome when we recognize our issues and work through them. Hugs right back.
