Hi menu crew! Its cold & snowing here! My fingers are frozen! I am sipping my coffee as I write this trying to warm up but its not working! Crazy busy at work and its draining the life out of me, I fell asleep on the couch either before 7pm or at 7pm last night I don't even know. I feel scattered. Its snowing and I wore my running shoes today! DUH!!! Accountability: I did not stray from my menu last night mostly because I fell asleep on the couch and I was literally not awake to be snacking. Remind me again what it was like being a newbie post op? Not hungry and eating an ounce or two of food and being satisfied and not snacking b/c we weren't hungry??? Seems all like a dream now and it really didn't happen! Post op life is hard yo!!!
QOTD: What are you currently watching on Netflix? Hubby & I just finished the Netflix Original "Troll Hunters." It's adorable. Its an animated kids series of a human boy who protects a city of good Trolls against bad Trolls. If you like like movies like "Kung Fu Panda" you would like this. Its cheesy but we loved it. Kelsey Grammer from the TV show "Fraiser" voices one of the Trolls and he is fabulous.

Hi! Cold here, too. Wind chills are 0 and snow is coming mid-day. Hoping to get on the road back home early afternoon to avoid a messy slippery drive this evening.
I couldn't agree more about how hard post op life is. I found myself with a peanut butter cup in my mouth last night. I say, "I found" because I swear I didn't even make the decision. Not to buy it. Not to eat it. Uggggh. Mindless eating was how I got fat--gotta cut it out... I have an appointed with the Nut on Friday. I'm hoping she has some pearls of wisdom to help reset my bad habits. Unlike some, I think she is pretty good, and I respect her advice and suggestions.
QOTD: We just finished A Series of Unfortunate Events. So good! It was very true to the books and had some pretty amazing guest stars. I really liked it. Looking forward to Season 2! We also LOVED Stranger Things. If you haven't seen it, you must! It's super quirky and weird but totally endearing.

Oh! I'm going to trying to get the hubby to watch Series of Unfortunate Events with me this weekend! I'm glad to hear your positive endorsement.
Earlier this month I read Better Than Before: What I Learned About Making and Breaking Habits by Gretchen Rubin and I found it very enlightening. Part interesting research and part practical strategies to put into place regarding habit formation. I'm actually about to start rereading because I feel like I want it to sink in even more.
You might find it interesting and helpful.
