Need encouragement!
I'm in a 2 week stall and it really has me down in the dumps. I realize this won't be the only one, and that weight loss will slow down the further out I get. I've lost 39 pounds since Dec 5, and I know I should be grateful, but I actually feel angry I'm not further along. I went through a major surgery and had serious complications. I follow the surgeon's directions on protein and water exactly. I am just wanting to be suddenly thin I guess.
I really could use some encouragement from my RNY buddies right now.

My surgery was on November 18th and I've lost 43 pounds so I think you're doing awesome. I'm finding that stalls are all part of the process. I've had three so far but then suddenly, I just start losing. All I can say is hang in there and just keep doing what your doctor orders and the weight will come off.
That's a big amt of weight. You are doing great. It didn't appear on your body quickly....and it will take time to disappear as well.
Just to gain some perspective think of laying out 39 blocks of butter on your kitchen table....picture what that looks and feels like. I always visualized that glob of 1 lb of fat made of rubbery plastic that they have in many weight loss clinics. They are quite big!!!! It always helped me realize that even when I didn't see the scale moving...my body was still working on melting down one of those bad boys and to relax !!!! Yeah....kinda gross but true
Be patient, follow your rules and it WILL happen. Take lots of pictures along the way.....trust me you will be glad you did later on.

I had RNY one week before you. It seems to me that you are on track, and stalls happen. I'm in one right now....albeit not two weeks, but I'm not really looking forward to weighing every morning like I usually do.
I wish we could all just wake up and be amazed at how we got thin overnight, but we didn't get obese overnight, either. It takes time. Just keep following the rules and that scale will move.
Also, don't weigh everyday during a stall. That's what I'm going to be doing. I won't be weighing again until next Monday morning. Maybe by then, this stall will be over, or I will notice a little more room in my clothing.
We're all in this together, and we can do it!! Best of luck!

You are doing just fine and more than on target. Not everyone has lost as much as you, so YAY! I lost 29 the first month then had a 2 week stall. Lost a few more pounds and then had a 2 week stall again. My clothes continued to get looser. Now...Quit looking at the scale for your victories, missy and don't worry one bit, if you're doing what the dr said to do, it will show up on the scales eventually! Congrats on your weight loss and remember that for every pound you've lost YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN! HA!

I'm not even 3 weeks post op and going through what feels like a stall. It is discouraging. One thing that helped was looking at old posts where people complain they haven't lost anything and then to see their recent posts where they post they've reached or exceeded goal. We will get there!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
