You have to give it a few days! I say that but it annoys me too! I needed to see myself in what you just wrote...I am like "I ate great yesterday why isn't the scale down at least 3 pounds today?" hmmmm... unfortunately the scale is a cruel taskmaster sometimes, and doesn't respond right away... It will happen. I am at the 'oh ****' number the last couple of days... ack!

You sound so much better!!! So glad this is working for you!

(and completely ignore the scale... I've found mine doesn't reward or punish the very next day... it  likes to toy with me, like a cat with a mouse )

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

My daughter had a birthday party last night and she made a cherry cake for it with maraschino cherries and cherry jello in it.  I just had to have a small piece of the cake when she got home and it was delicious!  I logged the calories into my fitness pal but I'm sure I shouldn't have indulged in it.

QOTD:  I always feel sorry for people who have to work serving the public so I rarely complain.  I do make a point of giving positive feedback whenever someone gives good service or is extra friendly, though.

B:  1 Jimmy Dean bacon & spinach egg frittata

L:  Chicken & wild rice soup

D:  chili cheese dog

S:  Light n Fit Greek yogurt

Exercise:  Walking Blossom around the neighborhood.

Have a fantastic day and a great week everyone!

Happy Monday, everyone!

We had a good weekend, slow paced, and nothing too exciting except for Saturday afternoon the kids had their Winter Guard competition. It's like what we used to call the flag corp I think... they use flags/rifles/swords and dance. Anyway, they were both on the same team this year, and they both had a solo part. I loved it! I got a new phone too, so going back from an Android to the beloved IPhone. I liked the Android, but after 2 years, it got so slow, and they add so much crap to it. I decided to go back to old faithful.

QOTD: I waited tables and bar-tended through part of going to college. I can usually tell if the wait staff is 'in the weeds' - and I'll cut them a little slack, but if they're just stupid, then I get pissy. I once left a note on a napkin for our waiter because of the bad service. It came with a 10% tip, and an explanation of why they got that tip! LOL I answer surveys if I'm in the right mood, but I absolutely hate the ones where it is implied anything less than a 10 is a bad review. I mean, really, 10's should be reserved for exceptional, and not everyone is going to hit that level - which is OK... don't get me started!

B: appears to be beef jerky, because I started eating some when I got here... that container is almost gone!

L: leftover meatloaf or chicken Parmesan. I have both with me, both portioned out, and both very low carb

D: BBQd chicken legs

S: Hoping to try out the Crio Bru, but I'm sure I'll also have a faithful latte with Fairlife

Happy Monday Morning! I can't believe that we are already in the high 40's for responses - I didn't realize I was so late. It's crazy today at work - I work mainly with international students and refugees and the current situation is a debacle. I will leave it at that - because it's absolutely painful right now.

QOTD: First, I am not overly picky and relatively easy-going. However, if there is something wrong, I will let it be known. For example, I can eat an undercooked steak, but I will return an overcooked one.

Plan for today (edited as always for accuracy as the day goes!)

Time since surgery: 3 years, 1 month.

Breakfast: 2 oz. tiger shrimp, 1 T. low-carb ****tail sauce, 16 oz. coffee with liquid stevia, 1 T. whole milk, grape water (90/3/12)

Morning Snack: 16 oz. coffee, 4 drops stevia, 1 T. Whole milk (18/1/1)

Lunch: 2.5 oz. sirloin tip steak, 1 T. homemade ranch, 16 oz. of coffee, & 4 drops of stevia, 1 T. whole milk, grape water (176/2/15)

Afternoon Snack: 16 oz. coffee w/liquid stevia, 1 T. whole milk (18/1/1)

Dinner: 3.25 oz. carne asada (bottom round), 16 oz. coffee w/liquid stevia, 1 T. whole milk, grape water (142/1/25)

Evening Snack: 8 oz. unsweetened cashew milk, 1 scoop Nectar, 16 oz. coffee, 4 drops liquid stevia, 1 T. whole milk, grape water (153/6/26)

Totals: 597-calories/14-carbs/80-protein

Thank you -- but my day doesn't compare to the fear my beloved students and international friends are feeling.
