I gave up the regular coffee machine and the french press when I moved, so it's K Cups or bust. I won't be able to compare to the regular but I will post a review when I try!
I am responding first, then going back to read. I put myself on a 30 minute timer, otherwise I could get lost on this thread for wayyyy too long.
I was just reading your post Daisy and drinking my coffee, and got to your Restorlax and was like ack! I forgot to put my Miralax in my coffee... whew! fixed that fast.
Can I whine a little? LOL. Realized Friday night I was having a reaction to the antibiotic I was on... that I was attributing to other things... but that stupid thing triggered GERD, and I am still having trouble with... My weight is up, made a few eat out choices F-S-S over the weekend(nothing crazy) and I am up even more. Don't feel like I am off the rails, put my food in MFP and calories are good, carbs were high of course the day I had a slice of pizza, so I am WHY??? So gotta practice what you preach as they say and examine thyself...
So one adjustment I need to make is Cheese! I realize I could put cheese on every meal and have it as a snack if I let myself. I switched to carrying Babybels as my go-to carry with me snack as I was trying tog get away from bars...more cheese. So I decided I need to limit my cheese to no more than once a day.Suggestions for non-bar, non-cheese carry with you food, welcome. All cheese addicts please raise your hands.
QOTD: I can swing both ways on this... sometimes when I complain, I don't like myself, because it only makes me more aggravated and I only take it out on some poor worker who has no control over the situation. Sometimes I will say that, even over the phone, "I realize you personally have no control over this, but I am putting in a formal complaint..."
I will pretty much always complain about food. We went to a big dinner as a family back in December because my Stepmother was visiting from Wisconsin. It was not a cheap place, and I ordered steak and veggies. It is hard with large parties, as somebody's has to be done first, and mine obviously sat under the lights too long... it was like shoe leather, even though it wasn't well done inside... even the veggies were all dried up. I sent it back and ordered salmon instead, as my niece's looked good and figured that cooks faster. Always awkward though because then by the time you get your food everyone is finishing... but we weren't rushing... The manager was very apologetic.

I never ate it pre-WLS it is an acquired taste for sure. I did find a few brands I could tolerate, that weren't too 'jerky-ish' LOL.. as in a little softer. Perky Turkey brand and Krave both fall into that. I love the bacon Jerky from TJs but it doesn't really have that much protein.... I guess I get caught up on the sodium, but I think I may start adding it to the rotation... I tried the meat sticks but I can't take anything too chewy...

"Hi, my name is JB and I am a cheese addict."
I am on the go, in the car, for a lot of hours every day and I really have a hard time finding something I can throw in my bag and munch on that is not cheese or nuts. I am also interested in hearing other ideas! I like the Chomps Meat Sticks, but there are only a few Jerky varieties I can tolerate. And I only like homemade shakes--no premade ones.

OMG, I recently had a new friend tell me that she "doesn't like cheese."
........long...... pause.........
I must have looked at her like she just told me she eats babies.
I don't think I can remain friends with a non-cheese-loving-baby-eater.
Just saying.

Seriously, my husband doesn't eat cheese except for on pizza. I had a real problem with it when we first started dating, I made fun of him and shamed him all of the time. Now, I feel bad when I tease him, lol. So, I just backed off and accept his cheese hating ways. It just means more cheese for me.
I think I'm becoming allergic to cheese Actually, supposedly I already was according to some allergy tests done when I was a kid but it didn't seem to effect me at all. Now when I eat a piece of cheese my face turns red and splotchy!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
