What;s on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Nice day on Saturday with "the Kids"? Why are weekends so short though? Had a minor episode with some Ritz crackers yesterday. They have been in the house for over a month and DH just doesn't bother with them. The remaining culprits have now been disposed of. This was my first real carb issue and the scale reflected it this morning. I'm happy to say that I am back on track!
QOTD: Probably wouldn't say anything unless it was REALLY bad or REALLY good. DH is good about giving the server compliments when deserved. I definitely reflect the quality of service in my tip either good or bad.
B: Decaf coffee w/ scoop of GNC vanilla cream protein powder
L: 3 oz. baked chicken
S: 2 hard boiled eggs
D: Either steak or fish (fish if DH wants Sloppy Joe's - I don't do them and he doesn't like fish)
E: 60 minutes on the stationery bike done.
Surgery Date June 3, 2016
HW: 329 W at first consult 290. SW 238, LW 128, CW 139
QOTD: it has to be pretty bad before I take action, but yes, I've done it...
Busy week ahead - but luckily, lots of non-routine things (extracurricular meetings, a day at the research lab for the study I'm in (Wednesday), sleep study on Thursday night (also for the research study I'm in). Looking forward to it (well, maybe not to the sleep study - or rather, the morning after. I think I only slept 2 or 3 hours when I had one before my WLS!!)
19 months out:
B: Triple Zero vanilla yogurt, 6 raspberries, 1 T Kashi Crunch granola, 1 T used Crio Bru grounds
S: coffee with half & half, double SF protein/fiber mocha latte (complete with used Crio Bru grounds - might as well get another use out of these things!)
L: 1 C African chickpea/spinach soup + another protein (L&F yogurt, maybe.....)
D: cup of Panera turkey chili
another L&F yogurt if I need the protein
btw - for those who are wondering, Crio Bru is ground roasted cacao beans that you brew and drink like coffee. It says on their Web site that you can use the used grounds to add flavor and fiber to things like smoothies - so what the heck? Might as well try to use them!
I ordered the Crio Bru, and it'll be here today! I'm excited to try it... I keep imagining what it's going to taste like! Which flavor do you use? I ordered a dark brew, but I don't remember anything else about it.

I ordered the french roast, had my first cup last night. It was yummy... but I don't forsee keeping this up because of the price. I could go through that bag in no time if I let myself...

I got the Ghana Light Roast, the Mayan, and the Ecuador Light Roast. Ghana was good but the bitterest of the three. I added a little ground cinnamon and vanilla powder (as well as half & half) and it was perfect! Mayan and Ecuador Light Roast were both a milder chocolate - not as bitter - so I just added half & half. The Mayan had a little kick to it - must be a little cayenne pepper added to it. I really liked them all!!
re: NYMom's comment - yes - it's expensive - so it'll be an occasional treat. Nice at night since there's no caffeine, and it helps curb the appetite. Maybe if/when more companies start selling it, the price will come down a bit. I really do like it!!
LOL
I already knew this! Did that just feel like deja vu to you? (I need a quick reference sheet on usernames vs real names...) I'm such a doofus!
