How many are losing their taste for certain things?

Yes! Protein drinks, anything sweet including yogurt (as of last week), water, cottage cheese. I'm starting to prefer low/lower fat things over high/full fat versions. They don't always agree with me. Thankfully I still love coffee!!!!

I am two months out and surprised that I don't really like Coffee anymore. I was a HUGE coffee drinker. Last night I had about 6 milk chocolate chips to "treat" myself and they did not taste NEARLY as good as I remembered. Totally not worth the calories and fat. I keep trying to find protein drinks I like, and so far only one is a real "winner." I have that Chike mocha coffee flavored protein powder (don't like regular coffee but like this protein powder - go figure) with some fairlife skim milk and sugar free chocolate torani syrup and ice. I have it every morning because I cannot find anything else I like. The premier protein drinks everyone else raves about are too sweet for me. I used to LOVE sweet!
I hope I lose my taste for certain things! Like right now, with surgery looming on Wed and 2 weeks into pre-op diet, I can't stop thinking about certain foods. I know better than to go eat them -- I absolutely have to stick to the pre-op diet. But dang. Keep trying to distract myself.

I can't drink water anymore, have to add sf cranberry drink to it. Used to love tuna, hb eggs. The texture really bothers me now. Anything the second or third time is very difficult for me. I had two spoonfuls of rice couple of days ago and I burped for hours after. The smell of anything turkey makes me ill. On the other hand, I have a craving for lettuce and red bell peppers that I never had before. I mean just plain lettuce and bell peppers so it is not about the dressing. Crazy times.
I can't stand the thought of protein shakes, tuna, deviled eggs/egg salad, whole milk, and sweet drinks. I used to enjoy this stuff daily, pre-op. Sometimes it even changes from one day to the next. Tonight for example, hubs and I went out to dinner. Last week went to the same place. Crab cake appetizer, last week loved it!! Tonight? Spit it back into the napkin. :( Ugh, my pouch is so picky!!
However, all of that being said, I'm so happy I had my RNY, I love my life and wouldn't go back if I could. :)
