Good Morning. QOTD: we are going on a cruise this year. We are "hoping" to start taking a cruise once a year as our vacation for now on. We like how it is all planned out for us. We don't have to drive around strange towns looking for parking spots or places to eat and such. I may not happen that we take one each year, but at least it is booked already for this year and it is fun dreaming and thinking that we will continue to do it.

Morning everyone!

THERE WAS A SPIDER ON MY COFFEE MUG THIS MORNING  needless to say I'm super awake after that, before I even got a sip of coffee.  Luckily I didn't throw the mug...because it's my favorite and I'd be super sad to lose it.   Congrats on the condo rental JB, that has to feel like a load off!  We didn't do anything major yesterday, I did some work and laundry (will it ever end?!?) and spent some time reading....I'm re-reading a series I started when I was in college and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.   Today we have to do the yardwork, and I want to get some more work done....I had a creative stall with my sculpting for a couple weeks but now I'm in the groove again and ideas are flowing more easily, so I want to take advantage of that.

QOTD: The responsible adult in me says that any $$$ I'm saving up needs to go to paying off the credit card balance before anything else....but I really want a Joule Sous Vide, I told my MIL I must be a kitchen gadget addict and I probably need a 12-step program.  Really though, I want it because I like being able to cook meats that don't turn out dry or tough and I'm all about making it easier to create healthy delicious meals.  I can attest to the Instant Pot being one of the best appliances I've ever purchased.  I also want to save up for a vacation....Hubby and I both turn 40 this year and I think it would be really nice to be able to take a trip, just the two of us!

MENU:

it still hurts to chew, yesterday I attempted to eat some bacon and it was a disaster....so soft foods again. At least I'll be prepped with good ideas for just after surgery eh?

B: Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt, Coffee

S: EAS Advantedge shake

L: Soup

S: Egg Salad

D: Coco-Wheats with protein powder (bonus if you know what these are....they don't sell them around here so my mom sends them to me!)

Have a great Sunday guys...and thank you for being here, I really enjoy being able to read this post each day!

I had to go back to soft foods after a facelift a couple of weeks ago.  Our WLS training is really helpful! Ricotta Bake!

Good morning menu Friends! Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in,even though we did it in light snow flurries. Have church here in a bit and I think I may walk up there and home too. It felt great to get out and walk in the brisk air this morning and it only takes me about 15 minutes to get to church too. Day three of no extra snacks and hiding the food in the cupboard has me back down to my bottom weight range at 117.6 today. A few handfuls of crackers or a taste of peanut butter does add up Im afraid, but at least the weight comes off when I change my habits.Post op 4 years 5 months. QOTD when I get some extra money I want to get some new to me tops as I've been wearing the same ones for the last 3 years. It's good that my weight is that stable but I'm getting tired of the same old things. Has anyone used Threw up? How was your experience with Them? Here's the meal plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili with cheese D 6 oz of spinach and feta stuffed salmon and possibly a bite of crab salad. Went to a sushi bar with hubby last night and had some delicious grilled salmon with grilled asparagus.  IMHO nothing tastes better than perfectly cooked salmon. I really need to live where seafood is affordable and accessible.  Florida would be my dream some Day! Have a great day everyone and make some amazing choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

You are so good at sticking with a plan! I used ThredUp.com extensively when losing and for my current wardrobe. I love it! I buy "like new" or "new with tags".

Morning! We are having a quiet Sunday. Yesterday was SUPER busy. I need a slow day. We will step out for church. Not potlucking today. I just don't have it in me.

My next big $$...we are slowly remodeling our main bathroom. Since we have bought this house in June we have had one giant plumbing issue after another. The first was that out sewage backed up and flooded the main bathroom and the bedroom that is underneath it. So we spent a lot of $$ gutting those rooms,  replacing the sewer line, and remodeling the bedroom. The bathroom still is not finished because THEN we found out the well is contaminated and had to have a UV filter/softener system installed. So,,,hopefully, finishing the bathroom is next. And then maybe that orange kitchen.

Breakfast- um...I think I will have steak! I didn't fix that steak yesterday, so it's still in the fridge.

Lunch- probably finish the steak.

snack- tea, half a protein bar

Dinner- making this stew with red beans and andouille sausage.

snack- I bought a bunch of these 100 calorie chobani flips, have you seen them? I've liked having a Greek yogurt at night. But some of them really get up there in calories and sugar. Anyone have "rules" for their yogurt buying as far as calories/sugar grams?

While I was still losing my rules for yogurt were to stay low low low sugar and none of the extra add ins that can bring up the carbs. I've never eaten the fat free varieties. Now in maintenance, I prefer the Fage fruit ones and Chobani flips but I wouldn't have had them early on. I haven't tried the 100 cal ones yet. Let us know how they are!

Good Morning JB and Menu Family!

Congratulations on getting the condo rented, JB!

QOTD:  I can't think of anything specific that I am wanting.  Eventually we need new flooring in our living room, family room, & hallway, but that will be a major project and will require winning the lottery first.  My daughter has been working a lot and she is thinking about taking me on a cruise for my birthday!  That will be really fun!  I've never been on a cruise before.

B:  1 Jimmy Dean bacon & spinach egg frittata

L:  lettuce, h.b. eggs, bacon, cheese, low cal dressing

D:  chili cheese dog

S:  Light n Fit Greek yogurt

Exercsie:  Walking the dog or exercise bike

Have a fantastic day everyone!

QOTD:   the last "fun" thing I bought was a variety pack of Crio Bru plus a French press to brew it in - both arrived yesterday.  I can't really think of anything else I want at this point...

19 months out:

B:  L&F Greek coconut yogurt with 6 raspberries and 1 T Kashi Crunch granola

S:   other half of the "Orange Julius" protein/Metamucil shake that I made yesterday

Brunch (with friends - I had to eat the L&F earlier this morning so I wouldn't starve by brunch and start mawing!!):   coffee with half & half, I'm thinking huevos rancheros (skipping the tortilla).  They have scrambled eggs at the place, but I'm not paying $8 (or whatever) for scrambled eggs!!

D:  probably leftover pork stir-fry (meat & veggies only)

probably another Greek yogurt if I can afford the calories

ex:  Aqua Zumba if my ankle's feeling oK....
