Glad you're slowly on the mend! I never get tired of airplane photos! Last time I flew was 2012 and needed an extender.... I think we planning a trip to Germany in the fall. I'm so anxious/nervous to see where I'll be at by that point...

Good morning everyone!

QOTD The timing of this question is perfect for me. Prior to yesterday I may have made slight adjustments on my plan depending on what I felt like or a change in cir****tances but never adding anything, until last night. My life is a perfect storm of emotions right now and last night I had some cashews which weren't on my menu and added a lot of calories but I justified it by measuring out less than a serving. It felt like a partial win (although I did struggle with guilty) because I didn't grab the container as I would have in the past and I logged it in my food app BUT a couple hours later I felt terrible. I was nauseous, had dry heaves and desperately wanted to fall asleep so it would end. That was a no go. In hindsight it wasn't too awful and didn't last long but lesson learned in a big way. The rest of the container has been removed from my 'please don't eat/these are mine' pile and I'm sure he'll take care of them quickly. 

On to my beach picture. When this idea was mentioned I thought it would be easy to find something as my family has taken many trips to Myrtle Beach SC but going through my pictures I realized once again how few pictures I'm in. This one is the most recent one I have and it's from October 2015. I really hesitated to post it because....well I guess I have a lot of reasons... and all of them relate to me not liking the me in the picture. So I took a deep breath and click, here it is. I'm glad I'm posting it though because I think it's important for me to face all this internal crap and I think I'm making some good progress on that front lately. No doubt I have a long way to go but I'm working on it and even something as seemingly minor as this feels like a pretty good step in the right direction. I'm the one in blue (which is probably pretty obvious) beside me is my mom and her BF, then my BIL and sister and then my BF sitting at the front. We were on a dolphin cruise north of Myrtle Beach.

Funny - nuts cause me gastrointestinal distress too but I was eating them for a while because I love them. I did ban them finally for both reasons, but I wondered why they didn't "sit" right (I have VSG).

Sorry I have no beach picture to share.

QOTD:  I have stuck to my exact menu every time I have logged it except for four times.  3 times I ended up drinking a cappuccino.  Twice it was a 12 oz, and once it was a 16 oz.  When I entered it on MyFitnessPal and saw how many calories I drank (the last time I drank one) I decided that it was not worth it.  It was 225 calories for my 12 oz cup.   Then yesterday I bought a bag of sunflower seeds and ate half it on the way to work.  I did log it into MyFitnessPal.  So I guess to answer the question I do not always follow my menu....

Breakfast - 1/2 bag sunflower seeds

Lunch - GNC Protein Shake

Snack - Turkey Stick, String Cheese

Dinner - 2 Egg omelet, Canadian bacon, 1 Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge, diced red onion

Snack - Greek Yogurt

Calories - 820, Protein - 98, Carb - 25, Fat - 35

Happy Friday!  I am SOOOO glad that the weekend is here.  I have to work one day, but at least no one will be here to bother me!  I'm having a weird food day.  I'm hungry, but the thought of eating is making me queasy.  So, since I've been at work I've had 30 oz of water and a diet hot chocolate.  Yay me.  I'm going to have to force food in because I need some actual nutrition.  Other than work, I have no plans.  Leaving the office early today to get a mani/pedi, but other than that, I've got nothing.

DQOTD:  Now, almost 3 years post op (from my VSG, and 7 months from my conversion to RNY) I do stray from my posted menu.  I use plan in MFP the night before, so I know what I have to pack/bring with me to work.  During the week, I'm pretty good at sticking to plan.  I may vary slightly if someone invites me to lunch, but I mainly stick to plan.  I'm much more lax on the weekend.  I have the same breakfast every weekend, since I do the same workout every weekend.  When it comes to lunch and dinner, I'm not much of a planner, but I do eat protein forward always.  Even if we end up at a burger/diner place, I eat protein forward.  I will say that for the first year to a year and a half, I NEVER strayed.  If it wasn't planned for in MFP, it didn't go into my mouth.

Here's my plan today (as I said above, I don't know how much of this I'll actually eat, but it was a good plan!

B: sliced roast beef and a cheese stick

L: Roasted turkey (4.2 oz which I won't be able to finish) and hummus (1 oz)

D: Steak or chicken skewer and basmati rice (I NEVER eat rice, but I have one more test I need to complete for my surgeon and the Dr. who specializes in dumping syndrome.  I need to eat a meal that is heavier in carbs than usual.  I need to take my blood sugar 20 minutes before eating then every 20 minutes after I eat for 2 hours.  I did the first part of the test last night with a pure carb meal.  They want to compare the numbers and see if there is a correlation between blood glucose levels and my dumping.  Hello, my name is Stacy and I'm a human guinea pig . . .for someone who never had to test blood sugar, 7 sticks in a 3 hour period sucked.)

S: diet sugar free hot chocolate and ???

Totals: Cal. 721; Protein 102g; Fat: 19g; Carbs: 33g
