What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Cheetos are the devils work, for sure!
I've thrown away several bags that have crept into our house from different gatherings... I do OK the day of the gathering, maybe have a small handful (public peer pressure), but I absolutely do not trust myself with a bag of them at home... and no one else there. In the trash they go after I give fair warning to the 'eaters' in my house... I'm like a drug-dealer... I push the foods that tempt me onto those that 'can'...

Morning!
I have a little factoid for all you Instant Pot-heads! I just found out this morning that it was invented here in Ottawa!
Qotd: I'm still early enough out that I generally avoid. The one big Exception being my moms stuffing, of which I had a tablespoon of at Christmas, and will every time she makes it, for all eternity. Not really a party food, but it's a party in my mouth every time. Pre-op, ice cream would be my never-say-no food, and my favorite thing to eat. I haven't had it since surgery. In fact I will probably try to avoid for ever if I can. So far, I haven't been tempted at all, and hope that lasts, but know that might not be the case.
Pizza is another favorite of mine. Last night my husband brought home leftovers from the restaurant, and I had to ask him to put them in the fridge in the basement. I was circling it like a shark, and had two bites of cheese...It was a little scary, as it's the first time since surgery I felt compelled to eat something...
Menu:
B: premiere protein shake
L: leftover curry egg salad on half a live organic wrap
D: steak and probably cauliflower.
S: skyr and bran buds and cucumber with cream cheese if needed.
have a great day everyone!

I have always wanted to try maple bacon anything but never have, those cup cakes look Yummy!!!!!
I would probably just try a small portion, but I am with Liz, better for me to do it in public, that would keep me much more accountable. I try not to have any weakness food in my house now.

Screw you Daisy. Screw you. The cupcakes do not appeal to me, but a bag of chocolate covered bacon? Screw you.
QOTD: At a party, there are a lot of things that appeal to me that I don't ordinarily eat. Some mildly tempting, and some I would hit you with a baseball bat to get. But like you, sweets are my thing. At 4-1/2 years, I can eat a little of pretty much anything. But if I have a little bit too much, RH sets in, and I feel like crap for an hour or two. The only real no-no is ice cream. I can have a tiny bit -- like two or three spoonfuls -- before I fell like total crap.
I'll be sitting by my mailbox waiting for my chocolate covered bacon to arrive.

Totally with you that. I mean, she seems so sweet. Chocolate covered bacon... it's just cruel.
