A couple of nsv's
So, see this picture? That in the pink shirt is my belly. Before I had surgery 5 months ago, it rubbed up against the steering wheel. I couldn't even see the seatbelt then because it was under my belly. I could lay my phone on my belly and read the navigator. I'm not even kidding. One of the first changes I noticed was that my belly no longer touched that steering wheel. (excuse the grime. I have a habit of putting on makeup at stoplights.)
Also, I took my kids to the dentist today for cleanings and realized while I was in the waiting room that the last time I had done this was in August...just before my surgery. I remembered making today's appointments and wondering what life would be like for me on the other side. It was just very close to time, I was on my pre op diet and really struggling. Today I made their next cleaning appointments for this coming August...I'll be a year out then, and hopefully close to goal!

I'm totally feeling this! I actually took a picture like this last week! Here's my NSV from last week:
I used to be completely jealous of my MIL. We would go to Sonic Drive-In for happy hour sodas. She could hold her soda between her legs, and it wouldn't spill. I never could do that!!!! So, last week....
And now...I carry my coffee cup here because none of my cup holders will fit it.
