What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I got braces at 35 because the dentist said that the tooth crowding would cause me to have tooth issues when I got older. It was a bit of a pain, but it was nice to have straight teeth, and now 25 years later I still have all my teeth and my mouth is healthy. So well worth it!

That's exactly why I am getting them now at 39, my crowding and overbite has led to some funny wear on my teeth and sensitivity. I have to say this feels really weird, but not bad. I expect the adjustments will suck, and I don't have my palatal expander in yet, I'm waiting on that until post RNY....one thing at a time!

Legit the scarf on the left is like the one hubby got! HA HA HA But his was not as nice or as fancy or as great a colour but you totally nailed it girl! Dying laughing!!!!
Fingers crossed your braces application goes on well. Man I had braces for years, and I sure hope that it has come a long way with how much better the pain. Anbesol (the toothache stuff) worked wonders for me back then! Good luck!
I sure hope that someone out there is using your jerky gun! HA HA that made me crack up!!
So far so good, the application was weird, especially when they sandblasted my teeth beforehand....afterwards my mouth felt like I'd tried to lick the beach. Crazy how they put them on now though, they come in these little trays that are made from impressions of my teeth, so they literally just have to prep the teeth and then pop the trays on and zap it with the little hairdryer-gadget-thingy!

Good morning and happy Wednesday to all!
QOTD: For me, the worst gifts are those that are "have to" gifts that are basically generic and thoughtless. Examples would be scented candles, bath soaps, coffee mugs, etc. I usually am gracious but I store them in a big box in my closet with a post-it stating whom it is from. I use them at Christmas - (re-gift) as we always invite people who are alone/lonely at the holidays, or someone joins another family member (ie: a boyfriend or girlfriend we didn't plan on) and we also have a homeless man that we take care of. We always get him new socks, shoes and underclothes - but there's usually something in the "re-gift" box that he'd like, too. No one leaves our house without a gift.
Plan for today (edited as always for accuracy as the day goes!) I still haven't planned for snacks yet, so they will add to my count for the day.
