And I hear you on the teacher gift thing. I really don't understand it. I've seen what friend's come home with... and literally some of them could use a second Christmas tree for all the worlds greatest teacher ornaments! if you want your kid to have input, let them make a card or something with a personal message. 

We always get teachers coffee or book store gift cards- but usually coffee.

My daughter is a teacher, she gets some interesting things lol. When my kids were younger I gave the teachers a bottle of wine. 

Teachers of teenage daughters should get vodka.

We did starbucks gift cards for our teachers/therapists this year and they were thrilled!

Good morning everyone. I'm up early today - early because I am still off work- and found out yesterday I've been approved to be off until February 27th. I'm quite pleased about that. Normally I would be at work already. :) 

Today is my mom's birthday. We won't see her until Sunday though- she lives about an hour away. The boy who made me a mom turns 18 on Saturday and we are getting together on Sunday. Going out to eat which will be a first for me but the restaurant we're going to has good soups, and an a la carte menu so I will be fine  and if not, I will just eat when I get home.  It's a family restaurant that my husband has been going to for 30 years. The staff knew us from when we were dating and have watched the kids grow up. Portions are massive though. Pretty sure now, I could eat for a week on 1 meal from Teddy's.  

I scored a brand new in box Kitchen Aid Immersion blender from our local buy and sale for $20!  So excited as it will make the puréed stage so much easier. I think the lady got it as a gift. Which brings us to the QOTD- sorry for the long post.  I think I'm gracious - I will return things if I'm not going to use them though.  My husband is a pack rat and we have a small house so I just can't keep something I'm not going to use. 

Breakfast- Skyr yogurt with protein powder and sugar free raspberry jam

Lunch- soup of some kind

Dinner - same as lunch 

weight today 266.3- down 1.6 from yesterday! yay!
