I wouldn't know what to do with all that makeup either!  I wear the bare minimum and only get all "done up" for parties and weddings ha h

I hope the added snack goes well for you, and love the idea of cream cheese on cucumber, great idea!!

Good Morning everyone! QOTD: I am the type to say "oh how beautiful" or "it's perfect" then put it away to never come out again unless they visit as well. I just have a very hard time with what I feel is "mean". It was meant to be a nice gift, why should I hurt their feelings?

D: roast with carrots and mushrooms

I'm still struggling with portion sizes! I don't know why I feel so hungry. I'm doing really well with not eating carbs but sugar (honey in my case) is a bit harder to avoid. And portion control is a problem. Trying trying trying!! Hopefully today I will get a grip on it. I feel like once I start I will be able to continue. Always seems like starting is the hardest part for me.

may I ask brandi your "portion sizes" are they just dense protein?  I swear if you eat just a chicken breast or steak there is no way you can eat a huge portion. For example, your dinner, roast with carrots & mushrooms, drop the veggies and I challenge you to weigh out 8oz of roast, I bet you can't eat it all. Its the slider foods and carbs and veggies that I could eat a ton of, hence portion sizes but dense protein, I am lucky if I can finish 4 oz.  No doubt carbs like chipc & crackers and carbs in the form of sugar (honey) will just make you crave more carbs and more sugar.  Its hard hard hard to break but you can do it.  As long as you are trying, and I believe you are then you are on the right track.  Keep coming here.  And if you truly want to be accountable, post your menu with MFP stats and how much you are eating.  In my opinion there its easy to say I am having roast with carrots & mushrooms for dinner, ya how much though? Accountability is something a lot of our menu posters say is what keeps them successful.  Keep coming back here, keep posting, keep trying. You CAN do this!

Even on CAMAW I couldn't eat 8oz of meat, No how, no way!!!! At the very most 4oz but that was shrimp and I can eat a little more that even though it's very filling to me.

Carbs and sugar are for sure my big problem. Mainly honey! I am working on cutting it out of my diet completely. As far as vegetables go, I do tend to eat a salad most days but other than that not very many at all. Guess that could be too much though. I'm not gaining weight and probably am losing since I have cut most carbs out of my diet, but it's just at a SUPER slow pace!! I know what I need is to cut carbs/sugar (honey FOR SURE) and go buy a food scale and begin to weigh and measure portions!! Yes, I don't even own a food scale! Thank you for the advise and for the support

Good Morning, well we got about 3 or 4 inches of frozen sleet/rain on the ground right now! YUCK  We will be chopping ice until Spring around here.  We were lucky enough not to lose our power, so I am thankful!

I am always gracious when I receive a gift, no matter how hideous it may be...lol

If you are not hungry you don't need to add in calories.  Why?  Says who?  Calories are what got us obese in the first place.  Enjoy not being hungry, enjoy eating small portions.  I hope you are one of the lucky ones and  hunger never comes back but it does for a lot of us so enjoy it now while you can!

Hi All, I am back at an actual office for the first time in a week and half. The commute was brutal! But I am ready to tackle this day! I am 98% caught up from being out for a week so I hope I don't fall behind again today. It feels good to not have a lot hanging over my head. 

QOTD: I really can't think of the last bad gift I have gotten, except for when I was teaching. Parents always let the kids pick out presents and, let me tell you--1st graders have terrible taste! For the love of god, people, just get your kid's teacher a gift certificate for some coffee! It's all they want... I know I sound really *****y, because obviously the thought was sweet, but omg, the weird crap that I'd collect at Christmas was epic. I felt awful throwing it away, but really no one needs photo frames with pompoms on them. 

By the way ask Grim to tell Arun how to wear his blanket scarf. They are all the rage, you know!

I know I have talked about this before, but every other Wednesday my office has a big meeting and there is an unspoken competition to bring the best snacks. I usually either bring something else so that I don't get tempted, or I work it into the plan. This week it's my turn to bring something and the talented Mr. Grim made a bunch of batches of madeleine cookies. So much yum. I definitely ate a few from the reject pile last night and I am going to have another one at the meeting today. Other than that, it's business as usual on the menu.
