Good morning menu crew.  How is everyone? We made it to mid-week, yahoo!  You know I swear our pouches have a mind of their own... some days I swear I want to eat the world, I am grazing, snacky, eat dense protein and then still want do want to eat another meal! And then there are days were I have no appetite at all. I wake up and I am not hungry. I have all my planned food & snacks packed in my lunch and I don't eat.  Its really weird! I am currently in a phase of not being hungry. Not sure if this is leftover from AMAW where I got off the carb craving roller coaster, I really don't know and wish I did.  I assure you it will be next week or the week after but the eating all day/night will come back, it always does and then it will last for a bit and then I get the "not hungry" again for a few weeks. Does anyone else have these days/weeks? Its just weird!

QOTD: What do you do when you get a really crappy/horrible gift from someone?  Are you gracious say thank you and then throw it in the basement or a closet and forget about it? Do you re-gift it?  Do you thank them but be honest and say that is not your (examples:) colour of top or does not fit or you don't eat that or you would not use tickets to an Opera type thing?  Hubby's Mom knit him a "scarf" for Christmas. It is by far the most hideous thing we have ever seen.  After we left her house the day he got it we literally got into the truck and laughed the whole way home.  Its this really weird sea foam green colour (we both hate green), it is massive, like she started to make a blanket but stopped have way, its about 6 or 7 feet long but 4 feet wide.  It has this weird pattern on it and these bubble type knits on it.  Sorry to all the knitters out there I don't know the name of stitches.  When we were at my MIL's house and she gave it to hubby he gave me that look, you know the one that spouses share & know what the other is thinking and for those of you who know my hubby he tends to be a clown so he throws this half blanket scarf thing around his neck, the light green makes his skin colour turn this gross dark Hulk green and I had to bite my lip from not dying laughing in my MIL's face as it pretty much covered his head and half his upper body and he says to his Mom "Oh its great!". It was hysterical. Sooooooooo said "scarf-blanket" has become a seat cover in the back seat of my car that my muddy dogs sit on every day after we hike them, its a win for all.  So hubby and I are the "thank the gift giver" and hopefully find another use or way to work said horrible gift into our lives.  LOL LOL

Hi all!

Yesterday I got cleared for surgery!  I am very excited!  Now they just have to submit it to insurance to be approved.

QOTD:  If I get a gift I do not like, I try my best to not let the person know and be gracious.  However, I am very bad at trying to disguise my facial expressions.  Depending on what it is I may regift it.  But I have a relative that knits a lot of weird things too (hats and purses etc) so I often have to keep those and use them occasionally.

Breakfast:  Premier protein shake

Snack: P3 Pack

Lunch:  Triple zero oikos and moon cheese

Dinner:  Turkey breast (if my hubby remembers to put it in the crockpot this morning) green beans, cranberry sauce

HW: 290ish    Consult Weight: 262   Height: 5' 7''

 Initial Consult: 12/9/16  RNY:  2/27/17

Yesterday was picky pouch day for me. I know from the time I wake up if it's going to be a liquids kinda day. I can't really explain the feeling, I just know. And I've learned the hard way not to put food in my pouch when it's not interested. Ugh!

QOTD: I have a tendency to be brutally honest, but I'm also delightfully graceful. So, depending on the gift-giver, I'm most likely to say thank you, but....LOL  If it's my grandma or mother-in-law I smile and say thank you a thousand times and put said gift away. I would never regift something given to me with love and affection. If it's a co-worker that I'm not friends with outside work, I'd regift that for sure! :)

Today's eats, if I can eat today.

I was super hungry yesterday! AND there is a cheesecake in the refrigerator that my DH keeps eating little slivers of or forgetting.  I think I have to ask him to fini**** or dump by EOD!

QOTD: I try to be gracious, then tuck it away.  I have used them for Yankee Swaps where it is appropriate to have funny gifts!

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese

L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: taco meat and DS homemade guacamole

S: protein chips, protein waffle

DH did finish the cheesecake for lunch thank god. It kept calling my name. DS made the guacamole and it is good! I might use ground bison for the taco meat.

Morning!

thanks everyone for your input yesterday about snacks. It's been a bit tricky for me to think about adding them, but I'll start and see how it goes!

the qotd ties in with my plans for today actually. I am a gracious accepter, and worse than that, Ive been known to keep some terrible gifts in a closet, and put them on display when the giver visits. Usually my inlaws. but there is a downside. I have closets full of things I don't use. The women on my husband's side are super girly, wear full face make up etc types. Don't get me wrong, I wear make up a couple times a week, and do enjoy getting done up for special occasions. But every year my mother in law fills my stocking with make up and supplies I'll never use. Or in quantities I'll never get through by next Christmas.

So, my sisters are coming over tonight to go through stuff and take what suits them.

I also have a whole shelf in the basement of wedding gifts my husband and I will never use. But he feels too guilty to let most of them go... he's getting better though, and my sisters are going home with new muffin tins and Pyrex dishes etc. tonight too haha.

whats leftover, I'm working on him letting me donate. We'll be married 5 years this summer hahaha, it's a process...

menu:

B: Protein shake

L : egg salad on half a live organic wrap

D: I think We're going out for pho. Last time I ordered a spicy seafood one in chicken broth. No noodles. I'll probably get the same. Comes with shrimp, tofu, calamari and shrimp/seafood ball. I have some of the broth first, then eat what I can of the seafood.

Snacks: 100g of skyr with 1.5T of bran buds. 1.5T cream cheese on cucumber.

Have a great day everyone!
