What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Awesome. I love having the vets on here to give advice but it is also nice there are people at the same point in their journey! I just want my surgery date so that I can start making lesson plans for my students while I am out!

Good morning menu crew!
Happy birthday to your mama DD2! I'm down with the photo friday, though I don't think we actually have a family beach picture because we've not vacationed there....but I do have one from our most recent vacation and that was in sunny florida so that will work . Today is for running around like a crazy woman - I have to drop my son off at my MIL's, then head to my cardiology appointment for surgery clearance. MIL is taking my son to OT, and then I have to go get him and take him to the dermatologist. Somewhere in all this I want to try and get some work done too....but we'll see!
QOTD: I'm pre-RNY-surgery so I can't really answer this question but I'm super curious to see what happens to my tastebuds. With the band my tastebuds didn't change at all, I just learned there were certain foods I couldn't tolerate as easily. Carby stuff was a problem, because it would get stuck (which I shouldn't eat those anyways...so it wasn't a bad thing). Meats, unless cut into fingernail sized bites, would sometimes get stuck. The worst was green beans and peas...my band didn't like the fibrous skin-type parts....which made me sad because I love green beans.
MENU:
B: Premier Protein Shake, Coffee w/benefiber
S: 3 slices bacon
L: TBD (may be a protein granola bar depending on where I am....last day I can have them, braces go on tomorrow!)
S: TBD
D: Eggs with something....maybe green peppers, onions, and crumbled bacon
Have a great day guys!

Kelsey

I'd be unstoppable if not for law enforcement & physics
Well we didn't get any snow yet, but we have like 2 inches of sleet with a mix of freezing rain on top of it. I just hope and pray the lights stay on. We are pretty lucky here, we live on the upper end of Main street, so the power company tries to keep power to the businesses so we usually don't go for to long without power. Crossing my fingers
Happy Birthday Daisy's Mom!!!
I am opposite, I don't find anything I hate, but I always hated fish, and since surgery I can't eat enough of it. I really could eat haddock, cod, shrimp and scallops every day. Just wi**** wasn't so expensive!

Morning DD2. We've had a ton of rain and horrible winds here. I'm expecting to see trees and limbs down when I head out.
Beach pictures? Beach pictures? You've got a better chance of seeing a picture of me posing with God than a picture of me on the beach.
Give Mama Daisy a big hug from me!

Amen on the sunshine! Seems like we haven't had a sunny day in a long time. We have friends that just came back from living in Ireland where it's supposed to be damp and dreary. They said it was beautiful and sunny over there and they haven't seen sun since they came home.
QOTD: Can't think of anything that really grosses me out. For a while I couldn't stand the sight of tuna because I had eaten so much. Immediately post-op there were a lot of smells that I couldn't tolerate, but that is gone. What I used to eat tons of: CHOCOLATE. Haven't had a bite of chocolate since surgery other than my chocolate flavored vitamins and protein shakes. I do miss it, but am afraid of the consequences.
