What's on your Menu today (Monday) RNYers?
It isn't something I 'fixed' and move on...it comes back over time and I need to get mindful again. Accepting compliments is really hard but the value of really receiving those words is worth the work.
Side thought....At my weekend conference I saw lots of folks I know well but only see once a year and the discussions of my body, how great I look, how I look sick and need a sandwich, asking me detailed personal crap about what I weigh, how much I lost, what I eat, what happens if I eat a cupcake, etc...was a bit much. I rolled with it mostly but at various points I just wanted to punch the next person who felt my body was their conversation privilege.
Compliments are good...accept them but sometimes it feels weird because...well..it is weird.

Good Morning! We had a decent weekend. I had my hair trimmed and color touched up on Saturday and that was pretty much it since Em woke up with a nasty cold. She was feeling better yesterday so after church we went to the mall (had to return some pants) and handled the rest of the errands but other than that nothing too exciting.
QOTD: I am def. a morning person. Usually up before my alarm goes off and I crash by 8pm-no joke! I did work a 3p-midnight job for a few years and did fine with that too...so I guess I just adapt. I prefer to get up early and get my exercise done, at one point I tried going to the gym after work....NO WAY! Too many people there and too many reasons during the day to get in the way.
