Good Monday morning menu gang!! The weekend was very low key for us. Nothing major and it felt good lol. My family has decided to keep on with the CAMAW lifestyle and I am more than excited! The thing I really missed on AMAW was my eggs so I am bringing them back.
QOTD- I am a night person. I usually only require three or four hours of sleep and I am ready for the next day. My husband on the other hand is asleep in his chair by 10pm every night. One of my daughters is exactly like me and the other two kids are like their daddy. Makes for an interesting house thats for sure.
Time since surgery 10 months 153.9 this morning.

Good Morning everyone. Had a good weekend. Did a bunch of house cleaning and some yard stuff. The weather was nicer than it has been. Made some beef jerky for the week. Was hoping to ride one of the horses, but it is just to muddy.
QOTD: 100% a day person. I have never been a night person I like to sleep when it is dark out. LOL
B: 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and slice of ham small coffee
L: 4oz chuck roast w/gravy
D: 4oz baked chicken thigh
S: 2oz homemade jerky
50oz of water in
vitamin patches on
40min on treadmill (I'm catching up on season 4 of Grimm) Love that show and lost track of time.
So what cut of meat did you use for your beef jerky? When Cow comes home in 2 weeks, that's one of the tops on my list to make! Need to find a good marinade, and figure out which cut will be best for it! (I like REALLLLLLY thin, REALLLLLLLLY dry beef jerky! LOL)

It was London broil. So delicious. I am waiting for one of my co-workers to bring me in some venison so I can try that out.
You don't want it to thin or it comes out like shoe leather. 1/4in thick is how I cut it and against the grain.
The beef jerky I buy is thin, dry, and like shoe leather... I don't like the moist meaty stuff like Jack Links.
I like to chew it to re-hydrate it

I have a meat slicer, I'm really hoping I can get it thin enough! I'm sure I'll be experimenting with this a lot in the coming months!
